2022 Navigator

When the seats are properly positioned they are great!! My issue is that the the settings move every few days. From top to bottom on the seat adjustment display I have 1, 2, 2, 3, 3 dots for my seat. I thought I was going nuts when the numbers keep kept changing and I have to change them back. Still happening. Not a deal breaker but so annoying!!
Same issue of losing settings for me, but with the steering wheel location and side mirrors.

That’s how my issues started. I had so many setting reset. Turns out I have a bad PCM causing most of the issues. The part finally arrived after three weeks and now I’m waiting to get scheduled to get it replaced.

Well there's good news and bad, I'll start with the bad.

This is more of a clarification, I've seen it in other threads and I just had it confirmed, if your truck was built without it due to the chip shortage it won't be added. My sticker shows Parking assist 2.0 and Automatic Liftgate DELETED. When I asked if it could be added later the answer was yes until I asked for that yes in writing, and honestly I've never seen anything from Ford/Lincoln saying they will, I saw fordauthority.com but that's not enough. So without that I have decided not to take delivery of the 2023 Black Label, no that's not the only reason more like the last straw. I was already makiing compromises from the color to the interior. As I mentioned before interior color and wood trim should be separate options, why does Black Label (the top tier) get limited colors while Reserve has more options? I wanted red and it's silly that once I say black label the paint gun can't spray red, but I compromised because I am a big Lincoln fan. I'm now holding out to see what 2024 will bring 🤷‍♂️

On to the good news, I ordered Sept 19, 2022 and they gave me a build date of Dec 14, 2022, but when I checked Sunday December 11, 2022 my status had moved to in Production and I had a window sticker. If things hold up the truck should be in Houston in January which is pretty darn good considering they started building 2023s in November. Not sure what anyone else is experiencing but it looks like they are getting the schedule back on track with the '23s. Here's the even better news if you're tired of waiting or are having issues with your order or was thinking about ordering, I have a 2023 Black Label with Chalet interior coming to Houston (pics attached) for anyone interested the dealer will even accedpt X-Plan. Before you ask no I'm not selling it just letting you know one is coming and you can get it, message me for more info if you seriously want it.

The app now shows "Activate Vehicle" and tracking shows it shipped Dec 23. Looks like they are getting vehicles out at a pretty good pace now.

Cool!

Cool or interesting, you can decide, feature I discovered yesterday. Maybe this is not a new thing. The rear A/c fan was on high. Daughter had manually set that. I did a voice text, and when the music was muted, the fan turned down to low to lessen the noise while voice texting. Then, it went back up when I was done. Interesting/cool.

Also, twice now I have had the message "Trailer brake system fault See Manual". Happened a couple days ago, and it was constantly intermittent flashing on and off and sounding the symphonic chimes. Hmmm. I decided to see if it was just a spurious one-off, but it happened this morning. Luckily, just one warning and it went away, but I am going to the dealer at 11 to see what's up.
Mine is going off nonstop!

Hi All,

Ordered a Reserve (ceramic pearl, monochrome) early March and received late August. I have about 1k miles on it right now and just wanted to share some thoughts.

Likes - space, power, xcelnt transmission, audio sys, seats, HUD, aesthetically pleasing, active glide

Dislikes - drinks gas (14 mpg city driving), no soft close doors (have kids so always asking to reclose doors), headrest adjustment (works when it wants to), seat adjustment display (+/- adds or removes whatever dots the car feels like), car auto starts when putting in park after auto engine shutoff (why, I’m parking!), settings have changed on their own (running boards, enviro setting at startup, locks), car loaded owners manual, occasionally shows towing info on the display (never towed)

Overall, no regrets and really enjoying the SUV. Hopefully, some of these issues will be corrected with updates.

Regards
Have you had any luck solving the headrest?

Mine still moves freely up/down but is stuck all the way out and won't move back in.
Looking for troubleshooting suggestions.

How are you attempting to move it backward?
Yes. I've tried using the power button (no go) and physically pushing the headrest back but it is locked in place. I don't want to go too hard and damage the damned thing

If the button on the door doesn't work and it is under warranty, just let them fix it. I doubt anyone here will have any better solution.

Hi EP. Headrests on modern vehicles are quite a bit further forward than in the past, for whiplash protection when rear-ended in accidents.

So assuming you are using the correct button, as per the instructions in your Owners Manual: Perhaps it is already back as far as possible. Will it move forward using the correct button? If not, then there is an issue which will need to be properly diagnosed and corrected by your Lincoln Dealership.

And on the off-hand chance your particular model has manual headrests (I don't know if that is applicable to the 2022 Navigator): You pull the top of the headrest fully forward, and that will release the ratchet mechanism and allow it to move to the most rearward position.

Let us know how you make out and good luck.

^^^^ I was going to type that too!

Too bad the analog phone in the center console of my 1996 Mark VIII can not be upgraded!
Oh wait a minute, it has! It is called Iphone 13.

Yeah, while I was being a wise guy, if manufacturers made vehicles retrofittable to every new feature, they would never sell new vehicles. Well, not as many, anyway.

Had my Navigator at Fair Oaks yesterday to fix a rattle in the rear passenger seat. Turns out, part of the massage mechanism was loose.

Also had them check my battery, as I was going to Deep Sleep Mode frequently. Actually happened while I was at the dealer, believe it or not. Battery checked fine, just needed to charge, which they did.

I told the service manager I had not noticed my Auto Stop/Start functioning for quite a while and was surprised the 30 minute drive to Fair Oaks didn't charge the battery enough. I thought it wasn't functioning just due to cold ambient temperatures. Battery charge denial lol. He, like @heywardjr has talked about, suggested a trickle charger. Incidentally, on the drive home, the Auto Stop/Start did function. There ya go, I, like others, just don't drive long enough distances to keep my battery charged up.

Bought a charger off Amazon yesterday and it was delivered yesterday. (Wow!) A Noco Genius 1. Anyone have experience with this one? It has about 42,000 reviews on Amazon, not going to read them all. They average over 4 stars, but the first You Tube video I watched on it, the guy said it never gave him a green light on charging his 2018 truck in a 2022 video.

Just wondering what charger works best for these AGM batteries before I break this out if the box if it turns out anyone here has a better tried and true AGM battery charger.

Thanks.

Has anyone had a faint buzzing/vibrating sound coming from the touchscreen area, namely behind it? I saw a post about this in a Facebook group. No one responded there. I have had it in the last week or so. I can press against the back of the screen and it will stop for a day or two then, like most other rattles and other weird issues, it magically and inexplicably returns, just like that.

I will have it addressed at the dealer. Of course, if it is one of the days it isn't making the sound, they will have a hard time diagnosing. So, if anyone here has had this, it would be nice to know if it was resolved and how.

Thanks.

It sounds like the component that's holds the screen is lose, and the buzzing sounds like an electrical wire that may be damaged.

Finally my lincoln showed up and i dropped it off the same day for ceramic/3m treatment (with a heavy heart). Noticed a couple of things; there are no mats for 3rd row (carpet or mats).

Any suggestions where to get those from? Dealer doesnt seem to have any

Also looking at getting a OEM integrated dash cam but no luck as of yet. If anyone has any leads on this, please advise!
Were you able to get an OEM dash cam? I am going to venture into a DIY install of a thinkware front and rear dash cam this weekend. haven’t seen any videos or install pictures.
