2022 Navigator

My 2021 is in at the dealer right now (ongoing saga with steering wheel memory finally has Lincoln's attention and is getting some traction) for warranty stuff. The dealer finally got some inventory in and was able to give me a 2022 Navigator as a loaner. I'm surprised at how differently it drives. I believe the hp is rated at 440 (vs. 450 of the 2018-2012 model), so i was expecting it to be slower. Much to my surprise, I find this to be a lot peppier off the line and a lot more driveable. The shifting seems to be improved and is much more crisp thank the 2021. Anyone else feel the same or was it just in my head? Sync 4 seems like a huge upgrade as well.
That was one of the things I wrote about when I got my 2022.

My Navigator has been in the shop since early Tuesday morning for the electrical issues and they have no idea what’s going on with it. They’ve opened a “hotline ticket” and are hoping for guidance today.

Despite requesting a loaner, I wasn’t given one and the POS system for the dealership to get me into a Hertz rental via my warranty was down. Not what I’d expect for buying a 100k vehicle.

Got my car back after three days and all they did was replace the battery. Hopefully this is a fix- time will tell.

Anyone running iOS 16? I discovered 2 iPhones we have running iOS 16 that will no longer automatically join my vehicle wifi hotspot. Tried everything . Restart, forget network, reset network settings, sync 4 reboot. Nothing.

The iPad I have running iOS 15 DOES join automatiucally. So, it must be yet another iOS 16 glitch . Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen.

To be clear, I can join the vehicle wifi manually, but those devices should be joining automatically.
My wife's phone running iOS 16 was joining automatically. Called Apple yesterday. Not sure which setting in the vehicle that I messed with did the trick, but last night my phone started joining the wifi automatically again.

Refresh my memory here, please. And, sorry to hear.
Electrical issues and a rough idle. Seat heater not working at all, car doesn't recognize my key sometimes and won't open the door or start the car, infotainment screen has crashed a couple times, my audio either turns off or turns all the way down after I've stopped and started the car, wireless charger makes my phone overheat, etc. They replaced the accessory battery two weeks ago thinking that was the issue but here we are again.

So far they’ve figured out I have one bad module. The new module is on order but it’ll take over a week to get here. They’re still trying to reproduce and verify the other issues.

Thanks TCrowe that's good info, but that wasn't my question. I just asked if anyone knew what the option meant and/or if it meant what I thought it did, but I got my answer.

Or you could have just not answered since you didn't know, that's also polite 🤷‍♂️

I asked what an option meant and got a story about supply shortages, WTH? I come to the forum the same reason you and everyone else does, to get and share info. The dealer is NOT the holy grail of info as they are not Ford so sometimes you get the wrong info or they don't know, which has been expressed in these forums NUMEROUS times. I actually got a problem fixed because of the techs in these forum, my Lincoln dealer and other Lincoln service centers that were contacted including the engineering team, were stumped. Also, some people in these forums have a better relationship with Ford than most dealers (them or a relative works directly for Ford). Like everyone else in these forums, when they ask a question it is usually "all about them" it's their post and their question 🤦‍♂️

I got the question answered, thanks @dlcorbett!!

Time to be adults and move on from this, we're wasting post and no one is interested in our back and fourth, Miller time 🍻

I've been watching this thread since March and very glad to see so many getting their trucks, the information is OUTSTANDING and it helped me decide which truck to order. I'll wait till December before complaining it's taking too long for my truck to arrive :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
The guy replying to you is an apologist who shares the dealers theory that you should take what why can get and be happy about it.

Just wait until next year when you can order directly from the manufacturer and dealers become delivery/service hubs. That’ll be glorious.

Were you banned and rejoined under this name and have an axe to grind? Or, did you join a forum and decide to throw bombs at a longtime, extremely knowledgeable and helpful poster out of nowhere?

Either way, this is a stupid post.

That's not me @Black Label, I've moved past that as it's not productive for the forum.

On the good side of things, I ordered a '23 Sept 19 and got a VIN Oct 27 with a build date estimate of Dec 12. Last week I got an email from Lincoln about possible delays and they would keep me posted.

BL Pristine White w Chalet interior
My only complaint is that Lincoln does not let you choose the seat leather and trim separately, the Central park wood would look great with the Chalet interior.

More to come....

We finally got to test drive a 22 nav, Reserve with the luxury pkg. It was stickered at 96k, 93k sale price and was the cheapest at the dealer. It seems like a nice upgrade, to the point where my wife (after testing a 22 expy platty and already spending good amount of seat time in a 22 escy) said pull the trigger on a 23 next year.

We haven't tested a pre refresh nav with the 30 way, only the 10 way, so can't compare the massage function, but the new ones massage gets in the nooks and crannies, it's rele good. However, I couldn't get the lower lumber to move back far enough, so it was pushing my lower spine the whole time. Maybe it was something I was doing wrong, Is this common for anyone with a 22 with the 30 way seats? Honestly, I liked the expy seats more for all around comfort, but the nav seats felt great except for the lumbar thing. My wife fell in love with the seats, though and said I have to get the 30 way seats. They are way better than the escy and wagoneer seats. The 13.5in sync 4 screen is a huge improvement over the 10in sync 3 and its easier to navigate than the 15in in the expy. It looks alot bigger in person than the photos suggest too. The 28 spkr stereo is world class and def the best we've ever heard. The hud is great, alot better than my dads escalade and our current cx9. It gives you alot of Info and even shows your maps though Android auto maps. I can't remember if my dads truck did this, I dont remember it doing that, but our cx9 doesnt. Ride is firmer than I remember the 21 nav I last drove, but it also seems more tight amd composed. For some reason, it felt a lot better than the expy we drove as well. Less shaky, less harsh, Less floaty, more composed. Not as insulated as the escy at higher speeds, but more tight around town and less boatlike (his doesn't have the mrc, just the air springs). Regardless, it socks I still think the escy rides better, but not to the point of wanting one over it. I won't talk about quietness, it wasn't as quiet as I would like, but I noticed every vehicle with a window roof gets very loud in the rain, regardless of type. The expy we drove was also in the rain and it was louder still, but the 22 kr we drove earlier this year was quieter and softer than either of these we drove this week. Also, i noticed the ccd suspension for the Max's for either truck aren't as smooth riding as the swb. They bounce more and step heavier on pavement seems. Surprisingly, noone has commented how much smoother and quieter these 22 ecoboosts run compared to the 21s. Smooth as butter, and the tranny is so much smoother as well. The escy seems geared towards the kids in my age group, mid 20s to mid 30s, while the nav seems yo be for an older crowd. There are features I wish the nav had that the escy has, mainly the rearview digital camera, and it has a bit more cargo space, but the nav is way more comfortable, easier to use and handle, and drives just as well on the road in its own way.

I want to order a 4x2 starlight gray reserve, roast interior with lux pkg, sec row massage and bench seat. They had this at the dealer in this exact config except capt chairs and no massgage in the back. It's unfortunate, the 23s are more expensive than the the 22s, priced last year it was 94k (without massage seats) with destination, now its 99k even with the credits as the lux pkg price went up 2.5k. If lincoln offered the massage on the 24 way seats, I'd bypass the 3d stereo and just get a regular reserve without lux pkg and save 10k, but I'll figure it out I guess. Also, I'm waiting until next year as well because wifey and I are willing to wait for the both the hands-free liftgate and more importantly, for the auto park assist to be reintroduced. It's actually rele helpful and the new version is supposed to be even better than what was in our 18 expy.

No, I was quoting the other guy, not you.

It sure is good to see that the '23s seem to be coming much quicker than the '22s.

When I took delivery on my 2022, I noticed my lumbar was horrible too. Turns out, there are two lumbar settings to adjust and the one that looks like mid-back is actually lower lumbar. Tremendously more comfortable after figuring that out.

Ordered a '22 Navigator BL Special Edition on March 17, 2022. Finally moved to "Production" on September 21st (6mo later). Built (The first time) on November 09, 22. Then back to production a week later, and "built" again just before Thanksgiving. Delivery is scheduled for End of the year (currently). Probably due to the number of options--but gives you a sense of delivery times.... Excited though. And patient :)

Unfortunately, there's no new trucks where I am to check this out. The nearest dealership that has new navs in stock near us is 200 miles away.

Found out my Navigator has a bad PCM so one is on order. Unfortunately, new cars AND new car parts are difficult to get so it's on back order until further notice. I'm picking my car up tomorrow after two weeks of being at the dealership and they'll call me when the part comes in.

When the seats are properly positioned they are great!! My issue is that the the settings move every few days. From top to bottom on the seat adjustment display I have 1, 2, 2, 3, 3 dots for my seat. I thought I was going nuts when the numbers keep kept changing and I have to change them back. Still happening. Not a deal breaker but so annoying!!
