2022 Navigator

I don't have the 2022+ with the ActiveGlide, but I wonder if there are settings for it like there are for my Autopilot in the Tesla. In the Tesla you can choose to make your Cruise Control speed either be absolute or relative. If you set it to absolute, then it will maintain your programmed speed regardless of the posted speed limit. If you set it to relative, you can make it +/- a variation from the posted speed limit. So if you set it to +5mph it will adapt and take the posted speed limit and add 5mph to it as it changes. Does the ActiveGlide have different options like that, for example?
Kind of, it uses posted speed limits or you can set your own. I have speed limit sign turned off and it sometimes changes my speed anyways.

I made an appt to bring it in for these issues so hopefully it’s just a quick software re-flash and I can go on my merry way.

Very nice! I'm still not sure I want to use a durable coating as I prefer to wash frequently and apply a less durable coating as a drying aide, but if I did, I would probably go with the Kami ISM so you have me thinking about it ... how did the application process go? Any troubles with high spots?
I personally like the coating as a base and use the maintenance spray frequently.

i enjoy the detail process and feel the performance of the coatings are better than wax/sealants, etc.

i wouldnt pay for them to be done professionally, as i found them pretty easy to do.

The ISM was probably the easiest ive dealt with and was a breeze to apply and remove. the high spots are hard to notice on the white paint, but i saw a couple in a certain angle in the parking lot.

i suggest a tester car before going out and doing on the brand new navi. especially depending on the color. i havent done a black car yet (and will never have one again personally), but its worth it if you ask me. the ISM was only $189 and it took care of the aviator. so you might want to snag two for a navigator.

Yes, the Navigator has that feature. Speed Sign Recognition Speed Tolerance.

Hi All,

Ordered a Reserve (ceramic pearl, monochrome) early March and received late August. I have about 1k miles on it right now and just wanted to share some thoughts.

Likes - space, power, xcelnt transmission, audio sys, seats, HUD, aesthetically pleasing, active glide

Dislikes - drinks gas (14 mpg city driving), no soft close doors (have kids so always asking to reclose doors), headrest adjustment (works when it wants to), seat adjustment display (+/- adds or removes whatever dots the car feels like), car auto starts when putting in park after auto engine shutoff (why, I’m parking!), settings have changed on their own (running boards, enviro setting at startup, locks), car loaded owners manual, occasionally shows towing info on the display (never towed)

Overall, no regrets and really enjoying the SUV. Hopefully, some of these issues will be corrected with updates.

Regards

You may see better fuel economy in the miles ahead
Do check fluid levels and tire pressures.

Oh, one other thing. Not sure if it’s just me but while self driving, the SUV seems to prefer the right side of the lane and makes me nervous when a large vehicle is to my right.

Anyone running iOS 16? I discovered 2 iPhones we have running iOS 16 that will no longer automatically join my vehicle wifi hotspot. Tried everything . Restart, forget network, reset network settings, sync 4 reboot. Nothing.

The iPad I have running iOS 15 DOES join automatiucally. So, it must be yet another iOS 16 glitch . Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen.

To be clear, I can join the vehicle wifi manually, but those devices should be joining automatically.

I’ve not used the vehicle wifi yet but will be using it on an upcoming trip in two weeks. I’ll let you know then.

Thanks. Like I said, I did every troubleshooting fix I could think of, and I called the Sync help line.

By true way, the info on the web on how to reset Sync 4 does not work on the 2022 Nav. There is no audio power button on the volume button as in the previous years. If you call, they will say hold that and the right seek. Oh, well, hold the steering wheel volume down and right seek until the screen reboots. Nope, doesn't work. So, they will have you turn off the vehicle, open the driver's door, lock the door, close it, wait 2 minutes, then restart the vehicle.

None of that fixed this issue.

My vehicle goes in for service next week because of all the shitty software issues I’m having. I can ask them while I’m there about the WiFi issues.

Thanks, again.

I logically believe it is an iOS 16 issue as I said my iOS 15 iPad joins automatically multiple times. Sorry you are having software issues That was the bane of my 2020. Up until these little weird couple glitches, it has been great.

I still don't have mine yet, apparently it's being shipped, but much of this has me wondering if I should bail ...

Really? I have stated many times this is a fantastic vehicle. A slight, very rare glitch once in a while. And the phone thing I posted about seems like an iOS issue, not a Lincoln issue.

I LOVE my Gator. I think it just needs a software update and it’ll be perfect. I’m tired of all my settings haphazardly working/not working.
Yes, but as I documented here with many rants lol, the 2020 I had with Sync 3 was a software nightmare. Everything in my 2022 works as advertised. The occasional head scratcher aside, it is terrific.

Received a software update on 10/26. Lincoln Enhance 3.5.2. I have no idea what it did but I think the lane centering is better in ActiveGlide. Less riding the right side of the lane.

It should tell you on your screen and your app what was done.

My 2021 is in at the dealer right now (ongoing saga with steering wheel memory finally has Lincoln's attention and is getting some traction) for warranty stuff. The dealer finally got some inventory in and was able to give me a 2022 Navigator as a loaner. I'm surprised at how differently it drives. I believe the hp is rated at 440 (vs. 450 of the 2018-2012 model), so i was expecting it to be slower. Much to my surprise, I find this to be a lot peppier off the line and a lot more driveable. The shifting seems to be improved and is much more crisp thank the 2021. Anyone else feel the same or was it just in my head? Sync 4 seems like a huge upgrade as well.
