2022 Navigator

I was told my actual build date was Monday so it should’ve been done Tuesday. Maybe there were delays? Who knows.
Okay. Not sure what tests, etc., they do once built. Plus, the time to get it on a truck/rail once built.

Mine was built March 29 and delivered April 22 for reference.

No idea if it's similar to BMW but if so then:

* "In production" is a 2 week window meaning all parts are secured and the vehicle is in the queue
* The build does indeed take 1-2 days but, like @Black Label said, getting out of quality could take up to weeks (my 2022 X5 took 2 weeks to get out)
* After that, there's the scheduling for shipping - the vehicle can wait (in the case of BMW at least) up to 5 days or more with holidays to get on a truck/train out and the factory doesn't count it done until it's shipped

probably doesn't help but luckily that's my speciality!

Hi gang. Before the pandemic issues of parts/commodity shortages, shipping delays etc., a Lincoln/Ford "Build Date" was the actual date the vehicle was completed and rolled off the end of the assembly line, not the date it began to be built. It then would be driven to a holding lot to await disposition and shipping. Anything after that, such as post build quality checks etc., was a separate issue which did not affect the official "Build Date".

However, now that thousands of vehicle are rolling off assembly lines, only to then sit in holding lots for indeterminate amounts of time, while waiting for computer chips or other parts to arrive and be installed, "Build Date" is a fuzzier concept.

So the term "Build Date" no longer carries the weight of certainty that it once did.

Hope you all get your vehicles as soon as possible and good luck. 🍻

How is everyone else progressing with their orders?
I think I'm in production, it's a 4x4 L BL Chalet ... weird though as my window sticker:

Still has:

(1.) The SEP??
(2.) Rear massage
both of which I thought had been killed ...

The two things missing (that are obvious to me) are:

(1.) LIFTGATE - STANDARD FUNCTIONAL - 55.00
(2.) ACTIVE PARK ASSIST PREP PKG - 365.00

Otherwise the overall list of stuff is:

  • EQUIPMENT GROUP 800A

OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT/OTHER
  • BLK LABEL SPECIAL EDITION PKG
  • .ROOF RACK - BLACK
  • .22" BLACK PAINTED ALUM WHEEL
  • ADVANCED CARGO MANAGER

  • 2ND ROW CAPTAIN W/MASSAGE
  • ALL WTHR LINERS W/CARPET MATS
  • HEAVY DUTY TRAILER TOW PKG
  • ELECTRONIC TRACTION ASSIST NO CHARGE
  • LUXURY PACKAGE NO CHARGE
  • LIFTGATE - STANDARD FUNCTIONAL - 55.00
  • ACTIVE PARK ASSIST PREP PKG - 365.00
  • FRONT LICENSE PLATE BRACKET NO CHARGE

No idea is right at this point given the 9 months that's gone by but ... I think so?

Fingers and toes crossed for you! The park assist foot-kick tailgate are missing from mine too but that’s it.

Awesomeness! Welp must not be built as the table is empty, but I'll check back ... Any chance you know if "group 800a" is basically the full BL list of options/equipment?

Hi GG. The "800A" code is simply the Order Code for a "base" Black Label Navigator with no additional options/option packages. Then there are various free standing options and option packages which can be added to an 800A/Black Label.

I will attach the 2023 Navigator Dealer Order Guide below.

Let us know how you make out and good luck.

This is what my modules looked like after building actually began. There are HUNDREDS of modules, this is just the very tip of the iceberg. Once you get a "tear tag" that typically means your build is just about done and is going through final inspection. If you post your window sticker, I can show you where there's a spot where it'll show your "blend date"- when your frame and parts have arrived at the facility but it's not built yet.

You can now build and price a 2023 on the Lincoln website. They increased the price of the luxury package by $1k and heavy duty tow now has eLSD included, thus making it more expensive too.

Cool or interesting, you can decide, feature I discovered yesterday. Maybe this is not a new thing. The rear A/c fan was on high. Daughter had manually set that. I did a voice text, and when the music was muted, the fan turned down to low to lessen the noise while voice texting. Then, it went back up when I was done. Interesting/cool.

Also, twice now I have had the message "Trailer brake system fault See Manual". Happened a couple days ago, and it was constantly intermittent flashing on and off and sounding the symphonic chimes. Hmmm. I decided to see if it was just a spurious one-off, but it happened this morning. Luckily, just one warning and it went away, but I am going to the dealer at 11 to see what's up.
Did you get this fixed? I have the same issue...

I have not had that looked at. It has happened from time to time. However, in my driveway one day, the vehicle applied the brakes as I was rapidly approaching a hedge. So, not sure why the intermittent message. I just haven't worried too much about it.

I just ordered the same vehicle as you. I’m in for a wait still, but I’d love to see how it looks. I couldn’t find any pics with black and chalet.

Sorry all, just couldn't find what SEP stood for- I'm sure it's not difficult but can someone throw me an assist? Thanks : )

Hello all, a couple of things:

1. I see "Hands Free Tailgate Delete" which I take to mean you don't want it and won't get it OR does it mean it won't be there initially but they'll add it later when they get the chips? Yes, I assume it's the former but I just wanted to be sure.

2. Did anyone notice the steering wheel detail on the Invitation and Central park themes, pretty cool.

Hi chris. regarding 1. The hands free tailgate has been deleted due to ongoing computer chip shortages. You get a $55 credit, and it will be added later when the chips are once again available, according to Lincoln.

Good luck.
