Quick question regarding paying cash. My husband and I could pay cash as well but with interest rates so low, why wouldn’t you finance it and put that cash in an investment that could earn you three times the interest rate you’re paying? Just wondering your thoughts on this as we’ve always gone back and forth about whether to pay cash for a car.

For a lot of people it really comes down to the administrative hassle of applications & payments vs the benefit (assuming it's not a small biz tax thing)... also if you don't have a job it's even more of a hassle to get approved (same for home loans & maybe having to share info you don't want to share). It's nice to just write a check and leave (well you typically gotta get a cashier's check).

Dealers are getting cars. There’s one in NYS with 4 new ones in transit(built and shipped). I’m actually going to call them about 1 of them. If they have it coming in why would I wait until June for mine.
I ordered early to get it early. It’s simple stuff. First in. First out.

Hi guys. My dealer told me our 22 was built the last week of Jan, but is waiting on QC check before it can be shipped. Has anyone actually received a 22 yet?

My 22 is built and was located. I was told it’s just missing one part (my mom is a supervisor and knows people). I wish I had more details or insight to provide but I feel like everyone has stated pretty much everything I’ve heard as of late.

No worries! I ordered Jan 5th, priority code 19. I didn’t ask for any special requests other than the AZ plan since my dad retired from Ford and mom still works there They might do a thorough quality check at my moms request before it’s shipped. I’m in no rush to get since my Sequoia is getting the job done. Just need more trunk space for my family of six and a pup!

I did switch from the black onyx to sandstone interior end of January. My set for production date hasn’t changed in while (March 21st).

There is a poster over on BlueOval that works at KTP and stated they have around 3k SUVs built and waiting for a part. At least that’s how I interrupted his post. This seems to match up with that.

They didn’t ask for proof, names or anything to verify that my parents actually worked there when they plugged in the A/Z plan. So it was all the dealerships doing on the priority code. As for trucks being built I was under the same assumption as what xraytek22 stated. They’re built, just missing a thing or two.

Hi KCN. Again, just to keep things in context, so some others here do not go apoplectic : Parents working for Ford and/or AXZ Plan PINS do not get the customer any priority at all, unless perhaps your last name may happen to be Ford and your address is in Dearborn, Michigan.

All that matters is the priority code assigned to the order by the Dealer. And in fact, your Priority Code of 19 is the lowest (as in not best) that a retail order can be assigned by a Dealer...10 being the best.

I realize you are not saying/claiming you received any special treatment, I only want to assure others you are not...lol

Maybe my internet is broken, but I don't see the post you are referring to. In Post 664 she says her 22 is "built and located". I can't find the post about the March 21 build week.

I did look up her posts, and she had mentioned a March 14 build week some time back.

Anyway, the big question that is unknown is when these babies will start rolling on to the dealer lots.

I hope soon. Definitely no ledge jumping here. I have the same build week as you and I think we are on the same “update” cycle and I’ll leave it at that in hopes of not jinxing it. Haha

Hi BL. I quoted it in my earlier post, but here it is again above...Reply #666. Not a good number...

I see post #664. So KCNaviLady has stated two different scenarios. First, it was "built and located". Then second...She has a "production date" of "March 21st". Perhaps she is confused and now confusing us? Although that is not always hard to do...lol

Perhaps she will come back and un-confuse us.
