Paying over MSRP is loony.

Yeah, my dealer will charge MSRP for one off the lot. Problem is they are only charging invoice +$500 for dealer orders. Maybe I’m cheap but it works out to about a $6k difference in price.

When you say dealer order, you mean ordering from the factory, correct? Yes, even MSRP is too much. Any dealer taking advantage right now will not get my business later when the supply issues are over.

Yes I mean, retail order. I.e, what everyone on here did. You go in give them a $500 deposit pick your specs and they order from the factory. Then when it shows up you pay invoice not MSRP. If you purchase off the lot you’ll pay MSRP. Even then I got the impression they might negotiate on MSRP but who knows. Maybe if they get a ‘22 before my order shows up I’ll go try to negotiate invoice.

Awesome. I have always paid invoice but have been reading about MSRP or higher even on retail orders. What dealer do you use?

Apple Lincoln, in Minnesota.
I am nowhere near them, but good to know. Can do business with practically any dealer these days.

I have always been this way as well. When I decided on the Nav and spoke to the sales manager he said that they were not charging over msrp as most other local dealers were(Raleigh area). I asked if they honored the x plan and he said they do. That’s when I decided to go with them. About a $6k savings.

With vehicles beginning to show up, their leverage and BS supply and demand claims are diminishing.

I won’t pay over MSRP for sure. They’ll need to start at MSRP and then deduct 5% off for X plan.
I don't see why people need a plan like that. Just go in with your price and negotiate. Their sob stories of not being able to feed their kids while I shell out close to $100k or more fall on deaf ears.

I’m impressed. It was the fully loaded reserve with 2nd row massage seats. Sync 4 is definitely a huge leap vs sync 3. I was just surprised about the engine noise. The 21 BL I test drove last year was so much quieter and smoother in my opinion. Not sure if the trim level does make a difference. Still impressed though.

Good to hear about Sync 4.

like way noiser or a little? or different? I've heard that not including the engine cover makes it noiser but helps with a heat / overheat issue

So the 22 feels rougher on the road than the 21s as well as louder? Wow.
