My Lincoln
2021 Lincoln Navigator Reserve
I recently had someone hit my parked Navigator, with the only visible damage appeared to be a crack in the center rear lamp (the bar that spans most of the back tailgate).

I took it to a local Lincoln certified body shop to repair, and they replaced the lamp. The lamp now has a large gap above the top of the bar where you can see into the tailgate and see wiring inside. The shop ordered a new part and replaced it a second time with the same gap. They are now saying there is nothing they can do and it is not missing any trim, seals, adjustment, etc. and that it just bolts in.

I saw one other post on the forum (2020 Navi liftgate center tail LED light lamp HUGE GAP after replacement.) that found a similar issue in their 2020 Navigator. The shop manager originally agreed it wasn't correct, but now after replacing it twice claims they think it must have just been that way when I brought it in. It doesn't look great, but my bigger concern is about water getting in the tail gate due to the gap. Has anyone else dealt with this issue?
