2021 Corsair - Missing 2.0 Engine Cover & Rear Wind/Pressure Noise

I installed the engine cover on my '21 2.0L and it does work pretty well in lessening engine noise in the cabin. The 4 parts you need are under $100 shipped.
Awesome!! I hope i can get one for the '22 GT. Even if I have to go aftermarket.... My test drive I had the audio off, but I was driving gingerly.

Unfortunately, it won't work in the GT. Only the 2.0L.

Here is the picture of the engine cover on my MKZ Hybrid. Definitely different, as maybe the 2.5L here is bigger too vs the old one. I wonder how. At this point, i'd do an aftermarket one if I had to lol.
Yeah, that's the same cover as my Ford Fusion Hybrid.

Anyone ever figure out how to obtain an engine cover that fits the 2022 Corsair GT 2.5L?

Thank goodness I did think to grab the cargo cover from my 2020 as the sound difference IS noticeable.

Nope not yet. Now that I'm picking it up today or the next couple (Depends on best financing), I'll check for one.

Thanks for the info! Would you happen to have the part number available?

You, sir, are a gentleman and a scholar - well, maybe a car part scholar!

Just looking at Tasca. They ask for a vehicle description. What vehicle did you list? Also, it says that they want you vin at checkout. What did you put? Thanks.

I just looked there, too, and entered my VIN and it says this part won't fit my 2021 Corsair and no part was found on a search for 2021 Corsair.

I don't remember but as you can see...it fits. Tasca's shipping is high but they all are now.
Probably not listed because the part isn't on the '21.

It works. I have a 21.

Will this also work with a 2022 GT?

No. Different engine. There has been some discussion of a cover for the engine that is in the GT. Please try a search of the forum if nobody offers a quick link for you. :)

On a side note, I mentioned to my adult son that I had bought one for my since totaled '21 Corsair Reserve...and was considering one for my new '22 Reserve 2.0T. He said you already have a privacy cover. I said "what?" He pointed to the hood! o_O

Hey everyone, first time posting here, but I stumbled across this forum while trying to figure out some issues with my new 2021 Corsair Reserve 2.0 in Flight Blue. I'm the previous owner of a 2018 MKC 2.3 Reserve in Rhapsody Blue that I loved very much, but it was coming up on it's lease and I was given a great deal vs. purchasing it off of lease.

My 2018 MKC was nearly perfect. Great acceleration, ride, comfy seats, and 0 problems. While the 2021 Corsair's ride is definitely more refined and even more quiet, with the new transmission using the 2.0 power almost as close to my old 2.3, there are a couple of issues. These are all things I read on here, so I know I'm not the only one.

Once in a while, I get a deep "thud" coming from the back when it's windy out and my windows are NOT open. Also, the car is almost un-drivable with a window open past 40mph if it's breezy. You have to open all of the windows or the thud becomes constant. My MKC would do something similar if you had the drivers side windows open, but it was tolerable and not considered severe. This is something I've never experience in any car I ever had. You'd think they would run these designs through a wind tunnel under varying conditions before putting them on the road.

Second is the 2.0 engine cover, which I received some answers on when doing research. I was cleaning leaves from my car 2 days after picking it up, and when I lifted the hood, there was just a mess of wires without the engine cover. I immediately called the dealer thinking it was missing, even they got nervous. They called me back and said, "we ran the VIN and it doesn't come with it". I didn't believe them at first, and then another dealer told me the same thing after running my VIN. I called Ford/Lincoln directly, and they got back to me, explaining it doesn't have it anymore but couldn't articulate why.

I know my MKC 2.3's cover wasn't solely for appearance, and had sound deadening material in it. It's weird because the Corsair 2.0 motor still had the grommets for the cover, so I knew it belonged. After searching hard, I found a 2.0 Nautilus cover and it lines up perfectly. Low and behold too, it is not just designed for looks, but has a sound deadening function as well.

We'll see if they have a recall on the wind/noise issue, but the engine cover issue is one you'll have to solve on your own.

Those are my 2 issues, and everything else I knew what I was getting into when I switched from the MKC to the Corsair. One thing I can say is this, even though I like the Corsair's ride, design, and stereo, it's a car that'll have to "grow" on me: whereas I loved my MKC from the start.

My thoughts are that if Lincoln doesn't fix some things soon overall, they're not going to survive as we know it. It'll go down in history as a car company that had an amazing comeback and couldn't hold onto it due to bad decision making/cutting corners.
AA, glad to hear that you were able to find a cover for your Reserve. My 2022 GT was also missing an engine cover. But through the forum here I discovered that the Ford Escape hybrid does (or did?) have a cover so it does fit the GT's identical engine. Of course the cover says "Ford" on it, but the improvement in appearance is more than worth it to me.

What you said about Lincoln rings true. I hope that Lincoln does re-think some of its strategy. We shouldn't have to be scrounging around for parts that should have been included with our vehicles to begin with.

No unusual "thuds" here however.

So, I called my dealer and complained I was missing more parts (See: Missing underside parts) and he agreed right away to get the cover and install it for me (2.3 engine). He indicated the vehicles have been coming in without the covers but if any client complained they were adding it as a goodwill gesture (I read in the Aviator forum that Lincoln is actually paying for it under warranty). Good on the dealer if they are paying for it! In any case I'll be getting it. I'm going in on the 26th for some other things and if it is in (he doesn't think there are any delays on getting them) they will install it then.
