After folding in when parking, and then folding out, the glass mirror itself does not always return to its saved position. This happens about 50% of the time. There is only one saved memory profile. The passenger side works properly. It is so odd as I can watch the glass mirror moving when the mirror housing is folding out. The glass mirror goes to a random position and I have to set the mirror to the proper position before driving off. I tried disconnecting the battery overnight in the hope that what I think is a software glitch would resolve itself - it did not. I had it to the dealer one time and after charging me $180, they stated that the technician could not duplicate the issue. Any thoughts/suggestions would be welcomed.

For many repairs I never drop off the vehicle at the shop, sign the work order and walk.
I want to show someone the issue.
In a dealership that is a service writer. If the service write does not experience it to show the tech if needed, then the consumer is on the hook for a diag fee and nothing is done! Which sucks on multiple levels.
The tech is wasting time when he/she could be working on a repair. Making real money.
The shop and service writer are setting themselves up to be the bad guy
And the consumer pays big bucks for short term storage.

No one wants that. In the future show them or don't bring it in.
Even if it means swinging by the shop to show the intermittent issue to someone and have an appointment set up for the future.
