My Lincoln
2019 Nautilus
2019 Nautilus 2.7T AWD with 8F57 transmission. Anyone experiencing clicking (mild clunk) sound during downshift. Have had the 19-2313 computer update for harsh engagement from Park to Drive which did not change the way the transmission shifts. Just had it to the dealer and went along on a test drive, the tech said he heard the same noise that I did but when I picked up the car the explanation on the invoice said, "All shifts normal".
Does anyone have the same problem?

Originally my Nautilus did the same thing and I started using the Manuel downshift option through the neighborhood and when decelerating from high speeds to a complete stop and the problem cleared up except for an occasional hard shift . It’s worth trying

Does anyone know where the blend door actuator is located on a 2019 Nautilus Reserve

There are several and unfortunately I don't have a diagram for the Nautilus.

Thanks for the reply it ended up being the blower motor resistor so I had that and the blower motor replaced. I wouldn’t think 40,000 miles would warrant a replacement of those parts. What worries me is that I still hear a noise when my ac first comes on. Is that common for a Nautilus. I love this car but it certainly has some strange ways.

Hi C-20. Although we can not hear the noise you are referring to, it is relatively safe to say that most unusual noises would not be normal.

Is your 2019 Nautilus still within the 4 year/50,000 mile New Vehicle Warranty period? If yes, I would make a service appointment as soon as possible, (to avoid your warranty expiring due to time and/or mileage).

When you bring your vehicle in, physically demonstrate the problem to your Service Advisor or the Tech before leaving. Do not just tell them you hear a noise when the AC is turned on, hand them the keys and leave.
In this way, you can get them to clearly state they hear it, and you can avoid the dreaded "Could not duplicate the customer concern" invoice diagnosis.

Also, if you will need a complementary loaner vehicle, let them know when you call for the service appointment.

Let us know how you make out and good luck.

So, I've had a simular noise when downshifting. Noise happens almost when the suv comes to a stop. Bugging me. Today I decided to take a real look at this. Wife heard the noise from the passenger front of the car. Since I did the rear pads in the spring (I am a tech) I wanted to check the front. The front were done at the dealer 3 weeks after I bought the Nautilus ( 2019). Removed the passenger front wheel to check what they have done. When they changed the discs and pads, the tech put ZERO anti-sieze anywhere. Nada, nothing. So that made the pads jam on the holders. Remove all and do a proper brake service. Lubed all and cleaned the holders and sliding pins. Did the same on the drivers front brakes. Road test, cannot reproduce the noise. Problem solved.
