2014 MKZ Amplifier quit - THX audio system

Hello all,

I just joined up here today, but I've visited many times. My issue today is with my speakers...the front speakers used to randomly pop in and out, and several months ago, they quit working altogether.

I was able to narrow the culprit down to a bad amplifier. My question is, what is the part number and where can I buy a new Amp for my car? I have the THX sound system. I keep finding amps for $500-$600, and that seems insane to me lol. Alternatively, is there an appropriate aftermarket Amp I can use for the THX system?

Any help would be hugely appreciated! Thanks!

Wow! I have a 2018 MKZ Hybrid. Bought it in 2021 haBeginning to have small issues. 1st the battery that makes it a Hybrid expired. $400-600 Good thing I bought extra warranty. Today the tire mobility kit warning came on?

I had the front speakers quit on my MKZ and fixed it for under $10. I saw this video and worked. The MKZ amp is in the trunk passenger side. FYI

I got one better. With all that take a hammer to that back plate and flatten those press points flat. I just did that and it worked perfectly
