Hi folks,
Fairly new Town Car owner here and loving the car, so much so that I have decided to put a good amount of TLC into mine to bring it back to top form.
I've done a fair few things already and one of the next steps of my little project is the wheels. Currently I have the chrome 18 spoke wheels on the car but like many chrome wheels seem to do they have some corrosion and peeling and its enough to bother me so I would love to replace them. I have looked into having them refinished but the cost would be at least $400 per wheel and it would take at least 45 days (Im in California), I also dont have a spare set of wheels I can use while the chrome ones are sent off for work.
I am a big fan of originality and given the above mentioned issues I have been looking on the website for Detroit Wheel and Tire for replacement wheels (perhaps I will then sell off my old ones for cheap to recoup some money?), I just want to make sure what I am looking at was originally offered on a 2008 Signature Limited but cant seem to find concrete answers elsewhere online. I love the chrome 18 spokes but both refinishing and new replacements seem astronomically expensive and/or will have logistical issues getting it done. The ones I am now looking at are obviously not chrome so will potentially last longer as well as being cheaper up front but I dont see an alternative.
Anyone on here have a definite answer for me?
