2008 Lincoln Town Car Signature Limited axle code

I know there's a few threads here about a nonexistent, but very existent axle code 25. Has anyone come to any facts on this? I see no tag on the rear diff though I'll look again. And will the old school test to determine locking or non-locking diff work in this case? Thanks on advance.

I have the same year and model with the code 25 as well. My tag is still there and it is a 3.27 open differential.

All Town Car's from 2003 onward were 3.27 open diffs. I have several brochures and there were no other options.
