2007 MKX AWD blown head gasket

At 99900 lost all coolant but could not find leak. Coolant showed up in oil. Dealership says engine is gone and will be 8-9K to replace. Ford will only give 1k and the dealership will put up 1k. It's bad enough that they want me to pay 6-6k for a brand new engine but they will only give me a 2 year warranty on it. I talked to another dealership and they have had 2 mkx's and an edge with the same problem. All cars were junked. Has anyone else run into an issue like this? I have had Ford products last much longer than this in the past (87 tbird had 150K on it when I sold it in 99). I would have thought a Lincoln product would last more than 7 years.

Temp went up. Replaced coolant and had it checked. Car was not driven far after temp went up. Ford refuses to replace engine. Told me to either trade it in (take a loss on it) to buy a new car or pay 7K for new engine they will only warranty for 2 years. Told if I put a used engine in it could effect what they will cover. They aren't covering anything now so why should I care. This will be the last Ford product I ever own. I didn't think they would cover everything but marking up the price and then saying they would give me 1k is an insult.

An 8 year old car with 100K on it and you expect Lincoln to pick up the tab? Not Lincoln's fault the engine got cooked. Sorry but I don't think you have much ammunition to expect any kind of a break. JMO
