- 2006 Town Car Signature
2006 Town Car Signature w/~125k miles. Car has been having issues with the screen on the dash turning off while driving. Will usually come back on within a few seconds to minutes. Car also does not correctly read fuel level when filling up, usually taking a few minutes of driving to inch its way from the previous level back up to full. (As a note, I DO turn the car off when I pump, as I know it would likely do this if I left it on).
Went to start the car today and the screen never turned on upon start. The traction control button light was also turned on despite me never having hit it and refused to turn off when pressed. Drove a few miles down the road when all of a sudden the screen turned on, all of the door locks activated, and the check engine light turned on for the first time since I got the car a few weeks ago.
Read the code and it's saying P0462 Fuel Level Sensor “A” Circuit Low, which makes sense for the problems I've been having with the fuel gauge. Would the problems with the screen be connected to this somehow or are they separate? And if anyone has advice for fixing either of these, that would be very welcome. Thanks!
