My Lincoln
1993 Continental Executive series
Hello so I'm replacing my radiator and I'm stuck at the transmission lines. They look to be oem from 93. Pb blaster has been soaking for several hours and nothing. Anyone have some tips and tricks? Also can't find anything on YouTube about a 93 continental. Thanks

PB blaster is awesome. You could also try to vibrate the fittings. Have anything that vibrates that you can put right on it? If not, then lightly tapping with a small hammer works. Heat with a good hair dryer. Could heat with a torch but those radiators are paper thin.

Be patient with the PB, then add heat (propane torch), and use two wrenches. For the one on the flared end, a "cut" box wrench (for tube fittings) will help avoiding wrecking the line.

Quick Q, how do I get down to the lower trans cooler line? I'd remove my ac if it didn't work but it does and don't wanna chance it not working again.

I imagine from underneath? I've had nothing relevant since our 93 SHO, different engine and a stick (so no trans cooler) and it's been 20 years since I have looked underneath.

Best,
- Jeff
