Happy Holidays!

The vanity mirror in my 71 Mark III looks like a picture, taken through a kaleidoscope, of McGyver exploding a bomb. The glass is not cracked, but the mirror backing appears to have disintegrated. Does the mirror just pop-out of the visor? Or is the visor/mirror a single piece? It looks like it should just pop out but don't want to break it by mistake. Any advice on getting the mirror repaired/replaced? It looks like the mirror frame is color-keyed to match the interior trim so I'm reluctant to look for a used match. And I'd imagine that all of them suffer some mirror delamination over time. Ever repaired/replaced your vanity mirror?

Thanks - Stovebolt

I have never dealt with a mirror IN the visor. So I am not able to give you accurate info on how to fix.
The silver in the back side of the mirror is/has come off of the glass.
An option may be to have a mirror glass cut to fit the existing mirror. Then glue the new mirror to the old mirror. Or use doubled sided tape.
