50+ year old speakers are toast.
They weren't all that good when new.
Antenna going up and down is a good thing! Mine would not do that. It is fixed now.
A piece of history. These antenna were made by Tenna Corp out of Ohio. Tenna Corp made these for most Ford and GM products in the 1950s into the 1970s. The differences are the top end with bezel and length of tube which dictates how many mast sections. If you wanted, it is possibl to take a power antenna from a GM product and place it on any Ford product with a little modification.

Thanks to the article I wrote about rebuilding power antennas in the ROA magazine last year, I am seeing (rebuilding) more early antenna.
