18" wire wheels

I am a happy owner of a 2007 towncar. I am thinking about wire wheels for my black beauty. Will 18" wheels fit my car? If not where can I locate 17" wheels? I just registered and this is my first thread. Thanks for reading this. By the way I think that lincoln towncars are the finest American luxury automobile.

Hi Allison. Yes, a properly spec'd 18" wheel will fit the Town Car. However, it must be a correct width, offset, centerbore, lug spacing, etc. And you must purchase the properly sized tire with a shorter sidewall ratio in order to keep your speedometer/odometer accurate.

A mentioned above, you can find options (and professional advice, if needed) on many online sellers, such as The Tire Rack, Discount Tire, etc. Or you can also check your local Speed Shops.

The aspect ratio would concern me since it's common that the air suspension drops the rear as it sets during extended periods. That would be the second set of numbers on the sidewall. (R215/65-18) The bigger the number, the taller the tire. The easiest way is to measure the height of the factory 17" then one in the showroom.
