My Lincoln
2025
I’ve found a 2025 Reserve II that was built in Sept 2024 w minimal miles being sold as “new” 3.4% off MSRP, but with a $1,500 dealer “accessory pkg, so essentially 1.6% off. 2 questions:

1) Was there any early build issues from last fall regarding the 2025 model refresh that I should be worried about?

2) Considering no quality issues from being “aged inventory”, what level of discount is appropriate for a car w/ a build date that long ago? 1.6% off sticker seems low considering

Hi Dixon267 and welcome to the Lincoln Forums. How many miles is “minimal miles”?

What does the “dealer accessory package” consist of? Do you want it? If not, why do you need to accept that package?

Keep us updated and good luck.

Not specific perhaps to your situation, I have bought a couple of 'minimal miles' Lincolns from a dealer in the past and they turned out to be great deals. As long as it hasn't been titled, it is considered 'new' regardless of time or miles. As an example, my '06 Designer Town Car was 2 years old with 3,600 miles when I purchased it new.

As far as the 'discount' is concerned, it does seem rather low. I have received much more significant discounts under similar circumstances. Any and all options/packages not included on the original factory window sticker are pure profit mechanisms for the selling dealer.

I agree with the above. Seems low.

What comes with that $1500 Dealer accessory package add-on? Can that be rejected?

Maybe keep shopping? Do you have other Lincoln dealership options available to you?

54 miles on odometer is what I’m told (out of town so talking thru salesman). I’m being told it hasn’t been sold bc of open recalls on c-pillar appliqué (cosmetic) & 2nd row ob rear-seat button potentially sticking and seat sliding. Both recalls are from June/July this year but explanation given for older build date, low mileage & why it hasn’t sold.

Really curious if any of this is a red flag I should worry about or if it’s normal for cars to take so long to sell & explanations are valid. Being out of town makes difficult to gauge, but it’s only Reserve II model I can find without the full rear console (making rear more easily accessible).

Dealer accessory pkg is surface protection & tint which seems typical but still overpriced.

3.4% doesn't sound like that much of a discount to me.
Assuming MSRP is the window sticker.

According to an April 2025 article in Car and Driver, the average time on the lot for an Aviator was 104 days, which by most standards is well over the 30/60/90 day sales model. Enough to be ranked in the top ten slowest selling car models for Q1 2025.

You would think the dealer would be more incentivized to move the vehicle than they are indicating. However, the build date may not necessarily be near the date they were invoiced depending upon when it was released for shipment and the transit time. You can ask the dealer how long they have actually had it in inventory?

Sales for the Aviator were up in Q4 2024 but down significantly for Q1 2025, not only quarter to quarter but especially from this year to last year. Recalls aside, it behooves me to the logic of not offering more of an incentive in the way of a bigger discount, especially given the latest employee pricing plan offers Ford/Lincoln has touted.

$1,500 for surface protection and tint is obscene in my opinion. They have nowhere near that cost combined since most dealers contract those add-on services to the lowest bidder.

All these factors combined really would leave me looking elsewhere if I were you. Either they want to sell it or they don't care to sit on it within their terms. I would simply offer a number you feel is fitting and if they balk, walk away and wait for their phone call with a counter offer... or not.

those are not enough incentives to get me out of the house to buy a new one.
How bad do you want it?
shop around a bit

Welcome to the Forum. 👋
Mine was built in June of 2024 and I have had no issues at all. The only problem was that the Embrace Lighting did not work when it was delivered. After several attempts, Ford came out with a fix, and it has worked ever since. A number of 2025 Aviators were affected by this issue.
I don't think the build date will have much of an effect on the vehicle's price. The 2026 isn't scheduled to begin production until September 22.
I would skip the $1,500 dealer accessory package.

I would skip the $1,500 dealer accessory package.

Certainly, but I presume the add-ons have already been performed and are included in the deal. The only recourse the potential buyer has is to have the selling price lowered to absorb the additional cost.

That discount seems low. I bought mine, manufactured 11/2024 in 12/2025 with about an 8% discount, but it was a Black Label which likely involves higher discounts. I would REJECT any dealer add ons. Mine actually came with a tint package but I was not charged for it as I had clearly specified when I first spoke with the salesman that I would not pay for any dealer add ons as they were of no value to me.

The two recall issues are known.

One advantage to getting an early build is you avoid the de-contenting that occurred later, such as removing the rear window sunshades, the rear center console sunroof controls, and the nerfed security system.
