2003 lincoln town car executive. Started with the seperation of thermostat housing and crossover. The coolant leaked into driver side coil/ plug wells and caused misfire. Parked the car for a few months to save up for new intake manifold (Dorman). replaced all spark plugs with motorcraft and put in new manifold. Crunk up the car and gas poured out of the top of cyl.8 fuel injecter because fuel rail wasnt properly bolted. <- Fixed) crunk up and had misfire from the once submerged coils <- replaced) SLIGHT HESITATION/STUTTER under low rpm. usually around 50. replaced all other coils today but noticed there was some moisture in well 5. cleaned out placed coil back in and still the stutter, also changed the fuel filter. NO SES LIGHT

The moderator will probably move this thread to the Town Car forum.

Sounds like you may have some coolant leak into #5 plug well from filling the engine with coolant through the thermostat opening. Perhaps there is still some coolant in the area and able to get into #5 plug well after you cleaned it out? Another possibility is that #4 spark plug well has some coolant from the heater hose nipple on intake overflowed when filling the cooling system (with that hose removed from the nipple).

I would check all the plug wells again for moisture. While the coils are off check the COP connection for coolant and check the spark plugs are snug, sometimes the plugs can back out and misfire.

Good luck.
