I've noticed that my front passenger seat back panel is starting to separate Anyone else experiencing this issue. Car only has 33k miles and dealer tells me the repair would be nearly $2,000. Fortunately, the separation
at this stage is very minor but I'm wondering if this might have been a recall issue. Thoughts?

Hi SullyJ. There is currently no recall/TSB or other type of extended coverage offered for the type of issue you seem to be describing.

Not sure about the chances, but you can try calling Lincoln Concierge to see if they may be able to offer some sort of compensation from Lincoln.

EDIT- Are you discussing the back panel of the seat which is fastened with pushpin type fasteners?

Recalls are only made for two reasons
A concern where the vehicle no longer complies to Federal Emissions standard due to a defective part or lbor issue.
OR
A safety defect that is a problem that could cause personal injury.

Everything else would be covered under the warranty or a special program created by the company to extend good will.
