Electronic trunk release

My MKZ’s trunk releases quit working. I pulled the bottom fuse box out from under the hood to check the fuse. According to the diagram it should be in site number 80.
However, there is no site 80 for a fuse to fit in.
Any thoughts?

Hi Scott and welcome to the Lincoln Forums. Is the “diagram” you are using the one located in the Owners Manual, or did you obtain it from another source?

EDIT- Also…between the interior trunk release, the exterior trunk release located on the trunk lid, and the keyfobs, which methods do or do not work?

I used a diagram online. Thanks for thought of using my Manuel. I will look and see if it is different.
None of the methods to open the trunk are working.

My manual said it was a fuse in the box under the hood so I found the correct fuse, replaced it and still nothing is working.
Any other thoughts out there?

Was the fuse you removed blown? If it's a type that you can't visually tell, a meter is your friend (to measure resistance).

Did the new fuse blow? If yes, there's a short somewhere.

Visually it did not look blown. I replaced it anyway but still nothing positive happened.

Sounds like it's not a short. That implies it's either an open or bad solenoid. I would locate the solenoid, unplug it, and (with a meter) see if it's getting the signal to open, and the power and ground to make that happen.
