My Lincoln
2005 Lincoln signature Town Car
Limo Company Here we have had over thirty 80s 90,s & 2000's town cars Stretched & sedan.
Always done our own maintenance since 1986, and 6 of us are STUMPED.
Never had this happen Mileage low at 184,000.

Load test battery.

Or the quick and not exact way is to post the open circuit voltage of the battery.

With a limo, my first inclination is an excessive parasitic drain.

OK thanks Problem Solved, Tried different key. Started right up.

What is voltage* at the battery with a load? With no load?
How old is the battery?

Wiring to starter- (Diagram below is genaric Ford modular engine)
Red heavy cable is directly from battery + to the starter. Should 12+ or full battery voltage* all the time.
Smaller wire at the starter is from starter relay. Should be 12V+ when ign key is moved to start position.

If the small wire has 12volts, there is a starter issue.
If the small wire does not have or is less than 12 volts the control side of the circuit is an issue.

*When dealing with the battery state of charge, voltage is not the best measure. Amperage is
