My Lincoln
2023 Navigator
Hi all, new to the group. We purchased a 2023 Navigator last week. My problem is with the remote start (key fob) indicator LEDs not working. Both remotes have fresh batteries and work as the should. Remote start, stop, unlock doors, lift rear hatch, ect. I'm puzzled as to why the LEDs on both remotes do not provide status feedback of remote start/stop commands. Dealership service department was of no help. Wondering if anyone here might be able the shed light on this issue.
Respectfully,
LarryC

I believe ford stopped including the led lighting on the fobs around 2022. My 22 doesnt have the led light either, but my 20 did.

Yes, in 2022 they stopped doing that.

Does anyone know why Ford/Lincoln discontinued that feature? I really like the feedback when I start my 2020 Ford pickup.

Hi Larry C. Features are usually eliminated due to various reasons. A few are:
- Cost cutting.
- It’s determined not many owners use a feature.
- Feature redundancy (in this particular case, perhaps because we can remote start our vehicles using the Lincoln app).
- And/or any combination of the above and others…etc. etc.

I’m not saying I agree with any of the reasons, only listing them. 😉

I’m sure others will also jump in with more advice.

Good luck.

I agree. I'm just frustrated that Lincoln, an name that's always been associated with premium quality and luxury, would cheap out on such a small convenience. A thought just hit me. I wonder if Ford removed this feature from their remotes also? Thanks for your insights. They're much appreciated.

They want you to use the app.
