Walk Away Lock

They aren't enabled like this from the factory. Technically the feature is already there from the factory yes. But you need to turn it on by flashing the modules required for the setting to appear in the screen to actually turn it on.

I have Forscan. I have had zero luck finding any Forscan mappings for the Corsair. Can you or someone else who has turned this on share your notes (or source for the settings)?

Admittedly, I haven't looked lately. I have a few settings I would like to tweak and had no luck on the Forscan forums or in general Google searches.

Just use the regular switch board, not the "AS BUILT" line where you need to change binaries. Its under the BdyCM

I downloaded the latest version of Forscan and got the free trial registration. When looking in the BdyCM area, not as built, I set all the options under Walk Away Lock to enabled, but it still has not appeared as an option under locks. I think there were 4 memory settings under Walk Away lock, plus maybe two others. Is there another section, area, or module I need to enable to get it to show up? I have used Forscan in the past with good results, but not on my Corsair GT III, this is the 1st for this car.

You need to enable it in the APIM as well. Also, it only works with the key fob not PAAK.

Interesting, thank you for your reply. Tomorrow I will look for the setting in the APIM and enable it. We do use the PAAK feature but my wife always carries her key fob as well so that should work for her. I will post my results once I do the programming.

It works for us! I use PAAK so it doesn't do any good for my Nautilus...but Im always checking to make sure my vehicles are locked. Its an OCD thing. Even in the garage. But it only works with the FOB. The wife uses PAAK when she forgets her FOB. But she is an airhead about locking the vehicles at times. So its good for her.

You were right, it was a setting in the APIM also, once I enabled those two the feature appears under Lock settings exactly as you showed in your picture. Works well, it's a neat feature and I'm glad I enabled it. My compliments to you for posting it and to the forum where these ideas can be shared.

You bet. Glad it works well for you!

So, I have a '22 GT

Are you saying I can program the vehicle to unlock a hidden "walk away auto lock'?

And I need some sort of ForScan software and USB input for the car?

I have an Apple computer, but I do have access to Windows via a virtual machine if need be.

How would I get started? I already see the instructions above.

I too have a Mac. Although it is a 16 inch 2019 MacBook Pro so it is an Intel model running Windows 11 Pro. I bring this up since I use Boot Camp to start Windows 11 natively rather than using a VM. With this being said, I have no idea if it will work via a VM since Im not sure the Bluetooth and or USB ports are able to be utilized by said VM.

As for your first question? The answer is YES. FORScan is a free software with 60 day trials that can be renewed indefinitely. Ive used it since 2015 and not paid for it once.

Youll need an adapter yes. Specifically either an OBDLINK EX or if you want wireless convenience OBDLINK MX+. These can be found on Amazon. FORScan can be downloaded from www.forscan.org

Getting started, well, first youll need a compatible system. Windows 7 or newer is required. I cant tell you if a VM would work or not. But youll have to report back on this. Then youre going to need one of the above adapters to connect your computer to the vehicle.

This is EXTREMELY important: BEFORE making ANY changes, definitely be sure to save EVERY SINGLE module's As Built Data in a safe place so you can always revert back in the event something goes south.

Since I also own a Ford Fusion, I frequent the Ford Fusion Forums as well, and there is a VERY detailed post on exactly how FORScan works and how to use it. I will link it in this post below. While it is for the Fusion, the concept is the same for all Ford/Lincoln vehicles. Just make sure you use a spreadsheet specific to your vehicle (DO NOT use a Fusion spreadsheet for your vehicle. The binaries are NOT the same.

Here is the link: FORScan - Modify Module As-Built Data (Detailed)

Thank you, Matt, for a very detailed response.

I very much appreciate the assistance. This is going to make for a great side project in the upcoming weeks.

USB connections should work with VM on Mac. I have programmed remote controls using a VM and USB cable. As for Bluetooth, I am unsure.

Are you using parellels?
