2007 Town Car / Designer Series: What is the hole in the IP for?

I just bought the car and there is nothing in the hole right of center below the air vent... what belongs there? Thanks

I believe that is a passenger air bag warning light indicator. My guess is some stupid person thought it was a button a tried to press it and broke it. It’s probably lying inside the dash now.

I think the slots cover the "In-vehicle temperature sensor". Note that C233 appears to be in the correct location (see attached).

My 2003 Cartier

That is for the ATC system. The air flowing though there is monitored as to inside air temp.
