2022 Nautilus Reserve
For my 2022 Nautilus Reserve, I found a device to automatically turn off the Stop/Start function when selecting D (Drive). FYI, selecting S (Sport) will automatically turn off the Stop/Start function.

I need some assistance with installing this device:

It installs in the A/C control unit on the console. The installation video for the device shows how to open the A/C control unit by removing the the panel underneath the unit. Alas, the shown control unit is in a Corsair.

The 2022 Nautilus' control unit is built into the console:

The back side of the control unit:

So my dilemma is how to open the control unit to access the connections to add in the eliminator device.

For the record there is also another that achieves the same change of function, the 4Dtech Nautilus Start/Stop Eliminator.

Installation video:

The first problem is it's $100 verses $40 the one above.
The second problem is it installs behind the passenger inside rear panel which the video shows it being pulled away from side wall. What the video doesn't show is how the original module's connector is disconnected and replaced by the new one (3' 20" to 4'0" in the video). Apparently that is the most difficult step. One comment suggested the panel should be completely removed to access to original module which makes the disconnection and reconnection much easier.

These two problems make me prefer the above device.

Any assistance will be much appreciated.

Do you have anyone tech savvy enough to disable it for you in forscan? Cleanest and most reliable method to disable. Also free if you already have an OBD2 cable or wireless dongle.

Hmm, good question. I'll check with my local car guys, and gals.

But what is a Forscan? Is it like a Tech 2 device? I do have the new device but can always send it back.
I agree changing the setting with a forscan or like device is the best solution as it works within car's existing software.

Thanks.

@Javyte, did some looking for the Forscan. There's lots of them, ranging from $18 to $200, on Amazon.

There are some other settings I'd like to change like the cruise control always set on when starting the car. Can a Forscan do that?

Thanks.

Forscan itself is partially free. You need an extended license license for some functions but most can be done with the 2 month trial.
The cable you want to make sure is good quality. You may have communication errors with cheaper cables. My wireless dongle works but I only use for data logging or viewing sensors.
Cruise control on when starting sounds odd.. definitely not something I would advise but i don't think it would be a parameter that anyone has attempted to change but you never know.

Interesting. Why would you advise against It?

Meanwhile, does anyone have an idea as to how to open the A/C unit controls on the console of the '21 - '22 Nautilus?

If you're into DIY car work, try factorymanuals.net. I picked up their 2024 Nautilus manual (applies to our '25); it's a copy of the Workshop Manual, parts of it include remove/replace procedures (step-by-step, with good diagrams showing where tabs/screws/... to be undone are located), specs, diagnostic steps, several thousand pages of wiring diagrams,...

It comes as a single large PDF (the '24 manual is 885MB, almost 13,000 pages total). Best I can tell they always have at least a 20% discount coupon, sometimes higher. For my own use I've chopped it into smaller chunks (useable on a tablet), with the bookmarks in the original file turned into a master Table of Contents; check the TOC for page covering my topic of interest, then open the file containing that page.
