Approach to open on 2025 Black Label

Just got a 2025 Navigator Black Label and approach to open not working. Would like to know if others have or had this problem and how it was resolved. Tailgate should open as I approach the car with key fob in my pocket or purse but it doesn’t and menu doesn’t show the option. Detroit says all Navigators have this feature. Dealership is trying to correct as they have 2 more on their lot with the same problem. Any feedback is appreciated.

Aside from this issue do have any concerns about your Black Label? I’m thinking about ordering a 2026.

Absolutely do not enable any feature like this. In fact anything like opening the windows with the keyfob etc should be disabled. Sometimes you can brush or push up against something that opens things automatically. Disable all of that. You should be able to open a minimum of things with the fob to prevent accidental opening.

I have the same issue with my 2025 BL. Open on approach is not even an option from my front main screen.

Let me know if you figure it out or get an answer from Lincoln. I see tons of information on the web saying all 2025 Navigator Black Labels should have this option.

But I must say that I am very happy with this vehicle. This is my only issue to date so no complaints by me. I've had the vehicle since May and put 10k mile on it so far. Took a trip from Chicago to Las Vegas and back and everything worked like a dream.

But I must say that I am very happy with this vehicle. This is my only issue to date so no complaints by me. I've had the vehicle since May and put 10k mile on it so far. Took a trip from Chicago to Las Vegas and back and everything worked like a dream.

It doesn't show as an option on mine. Says "if equipped". Concierge looked at my VIN number and said the equipment is there and should work. Corporate wants to try changing a part out. It is on order and dealership will try it on one of theirs on the lot and then fix mine if it works.

Any 2025 pre March of 2025 does not have that ability. I am trying to see if can add it to my reserve 1 with luxury package and jet package. My 2023 did not have the kick to open I had to ad the module, which was pretty simple.

Dealer has ordered us a new 2026 that we can swap out for the 2025. To be manufactured in January. Hopefully the approach to open will work on it. Will post here when it is resolved.
