1. Panoramic Roof Tinting
Has anyone had their pano roof glass tinted to reduce light/heat?

Any particular product that worked well?

Any downsides?

(We never use the pano, wouldn't have gotten it if it was an optional item but otherwise wanted a Reserve 2.)

2. Sunshade
We're fine with the rest of the glass staying as-delivered. We'd like though to pick up a sunshade for the front window based on where it's normally parked.

Any recommendations?

Thanks!

Get a sunshade custom fit for the windshield. They are under $100.

Our 2007 MKZ sunshade just fits the Nautilus.

I'll give the AutoTech Zone sunshade for 2024-2025 Nautilus a try (Amazon).

Still looking for feedback on if anyone has had tint applied to their panoramic roof.

Thanks!

Tinting the moonroof glass may cause addtl heat buildup and could lead to the glass cracking. This is what the factory reps have told us why it's not recommended.
Thank you for that important feedback. Based on that, we'll not do that :)

I'd wondered if not a dark tint, but perhaps a silver tint, was viable, to make it reflective rather than absorbing.

Im Not sure. But look around. The reason nobody you know has theirs tinted already is because most tint shops won't touch it.

A perfect response, I was just explaining why I had asked. We absolutely will skip anything related to tinting the pano. As a FL dealer you are "it" for knowledge as to what is reasonable to do in this area.

I tint cars daily for people and that is what they as well as the reps tell us. It is a huge piece of glass and I do think to myself yeah some super dark limo tint up there would cut down on the heat. But the shop says nnnnope. Won't do it. So 🤷🏻‍♂️

I had a couple of shops quote me on it last year, (but they hadn't seen it yet). I never pursued it anyway.
