2026 Corsair News

Thanks for posting that. NOW, I see what Ford is doing!

Last week, Element Fleet posted new information that the 2026 Ford Escape was available to order. Still nothing as of today about the Lincoln Corsair.

But that, combined with this article gives us a glimpse of what Ford is going to do.

Until they retool Louisville, they will produce the Escape and Corsair. They wanted to give dealers 2026 models to sell rather than just carrying on into late 2025 producing 2025 models. Since Ford has scheduled 2025 Escape models through July I expect that at some date in August they'll just call them 2026 MY. Same exact vehicles because it's obvious that the Escape and Corsair are going to go away this year in their current iteration.

It's Official!

According to Element Fleet, the 2026 Lincoln Corsair survives.

Order Banks open June 16, 2025.

Production starts September 8, 2025.

IF Ford does intend to retool Louisville late this year, then it might be a short production run.

Who has access to the Order Guide for the 2026 MY???

I believe the Ford Escape is in the same boat. Short production year.
The site I use for the Order Guide only has the 2025 Corsair. I'm guessing the 2026 Guide will be out shortly.

Production of the 2026 Corsair starts at Louisville on 8 September. Order banks open 16 June. Anyone have the 2026MY Order Guide? Thanks

The 2026MY Escape/Corsair will be a short production run before Louisville shuts down for retooling.

As a cost cutting move, the 2026MY Escape/Corsair (incl. PHEV) will be equipped with Federal / Non-California Emissions System and therefore cannot be registered in Green States (CA, MA, NY, OR, VT, WA) or sold by Dealers located in the state of VT

This apparently applies to ALL SALES including Retail and Fleet units

The 2026MY Escape/Corsair will not have split-emissions certifications like Bronco Sport and Maverick. The 2026MY Escape/Corsair will only be able to be equipped with a “Federal / Non-California Emissions System”.

According to this forum: Ford Escape Remains On Track For Discontinuation By 2026: Report

And confirmed by a Ford dealer in Salina KS, who posts weekly video updates on all things Ford:

Quite a way to run a car company............it's official..........according to Element Fleet:

The 2026 Lincoln Corsair is NOT AVAILABLE FOR ORDER, PURCHASE OR REGISTRATION IN CA, MA, NY, OR, VT OR WA.

The link provided by member dogo88 is a more recent one, dated June 26th. Perhaps there was a change made since the order guide came out. That might be the case since the article now states it will be sold "nationwide", which is otherwise the norm.

Here is the Order Guide;

This does not say that 50-state emission version is not available. It just says that non-green state is standard and that (surprise, not) the non-green cannot be ordered in green states.

Element Fleet Services just updated information on the US 2026 MY Corsair:

Lead Time (order to delivery) is now listed as 16-18 weeks, which seems very long to me, considering this is a carryover model. AND the information continues to show: N/A in CA, MA, NY, OR, VT, WA.

I spoke with my dealership this morning. According to them, their area representative just told them that the 2026 Corsair WILL BE AVAILABLE IN THE GREEN STATES. Starting with the PHEV, which can be ordered now and in a month or two the ICE version will be available. Not a surprise to me since the Green States must account for a large percentage of sales.

So, there must be a new ORDER GUIDE out there. Anyone have it????

That link does not work. We already have the Order Guide dated 16 June 2025, but that specifically states that the 2026 is NOT AVAILABLE in the green states. So, if Ford changed their mind, they need to issue a new revised Order Guide.

It's the only one I've been able to find. It is on the Blue Oval forum where I've found most of the guides.

According to Automotive News, the Lincoln Corsair and Ford Escape will be discontinued at the end of 2025 for retooling of Louisville Assembly Plant. Louisville Assembly plant will see a $2 billion investment to retool for EVs the first of which will be a low cost pickup truck close in size to the Ford Maverick. Since this is a very large plant it will be interesting to see what other vehicles will be produced there.

“EV trucks are so practical and everyone wants one!” Said no one ever! What a horrible business decision. I Really like our Corsair hybrid but would never consider a full EV vehicle.
