We have tried several things but cannot figure out how to turn down the notification volume for an incoming text message.

Any help would be appreciated.

Long standing issue. Every time you turn it down it reverts back to the higher setting. There seems to be no acknowledgment that this issue exists

New to the group and joined for the exact same question. Anybody knows how to reach to Lincoln for this issue? If we all escalate, would it help?

Hi Mooz80 and welcome to the Lincoln Forums. If adjusting the volume while the system is reading a text does not help, and/or will not hold the desired volume setting:
The first step would be to schedule a service appointment with your Lincoln Service Department and physically demonstrate the problem to the Service Advisor. If the problem is still not corrected after this visit (or you have already done this), contact Lincoln Concierge and have a case opened.

Keep in mind that if they do not have an available solution, they will probably recommend scheduling another service appointment, either with your current dealership, or another Lincoln (or Ford Dealership, if you are not happy with yours). Just mentioning this so you are prepared and do not get frustrated.

By doing this, Lincoln/Ford will be made further aware that there is an issue, which is possibly inherently widespread.

I am sure others will also jump in to help, so keep us updated and good luck.

odd my text notifications are always quiet. I turn it up as siri reads me the text message to be able to hear it.

Hi,
Just following up on this:
- The problem was acknowledged by the service department early September and they told me that they escaladed it to Lincoln.
- 2 months later: problem is still there, no news from anybody...

Google Maps built in cannot be used because of volume issue, Google maps using Carplay is not fun to use as it is now showing in the upper screen. So, it's good by to Google Maps and I'm using Waze or Apple maps now as volume from the app can be adjusted.

If you have other ways to escalate let me know!

Our sound issue corrected itself. We think we got an update yesterday. We notice other things were different on the screen.

Lucky for you. Is there an available version number in the update that I could look for?

Mmmm, I have the same thing on my end for this Update screen (January 2025 being 10 months ago). I believe there is another one lower in the settings. I'm not in the car right now, but I'm pretty sure that there is another one to show other updates. No worries, I'll check with my dealer in a couple of months and see if updates are available.

Jan 5 is just for the Security Update.

The "Kernel Version" is date March 12, but I am certain we have received other updates since then.

Try calling "Concentrix" . It is part of your Lincoln support.

They are able to look at the care remotely and may be able to tell you when you received your last update.

OK, I might give it a try. I did call the Concierge number about this problem and sent me back to the dealer. This text volume is very annoying... I hate only to things on this car: the text volume and phone charger not working with iPhone :-) Not too bad, happy that everything else is working fine so far!

I forgot to mention, I got the "Concentrix" number from the Concierge.
