Bought a new Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus, attempted to set up the "Phone As A Key" feature and received a message saying limited service and that my phone does not fully support the "Phone As A Key" feature. Contacted the Lincoln Concierge support we tried several things to no avail. My previous phone (Galaxy S22 Plus) worked fine and my wife's phone (Galaxy S22 Ultra) has no issues with the "Phone As A Key" feature. Has anyone else had this issue connecting a newer phone?

My guess, and it's only a guess, is that the S24 has a different Bluetooth LE chip in it and it's too new to have gone through the testing process by Ford / Lincoln for their app to be updated for whatever is different about the new chip.

Yeah that's what we were thinking as well

That's what I have is a Samsung S24 and have not been able to get Phone As A Key set up.
I know, I'm asking 2 other S24 users to see if they managed to get it to work. If either of them did, then it may be a case of adjusting a setting on the phone.

I got ya! Thanks

I have an S24+ and received the compatibility error message when setting up Phone as Key. I continued the setup process (I can't remember what the selection I made, but I basically said 'don't care keep going' instead of 'stop') and it's been working fine*. I had the same thing with my '23 Nautilus.

* I had 1 instance where the phone did not pair to the car when I got in - I tried manually pairing and it wouldn't. Rebooting the phone resolved the issue. This happened maybe 3-5 times over the 18 months I had my '23 Nautilus as well.

The only time I've truly run into a functional compatibility issue was with my '20 Corsair and being an early adopter of the Samsung Flip 2. The combination of first model year car + early adopt phone didn't play well.

@Millennium Falcon @russlb - had either of you tried your Samsung S24 for Phone As A Key?
Yes. I had it connected and working to my S24 Ultra. However, when I'm walking around near or in the garage, I don't usually carry the key fob, but always carry my phone. It was constantly activating the vehicle and putting messages on my phone that were annoying me (can't remember what they were now). So I disconnected it.

I have a Samsung A54 and no issues. I can only think it is a Bluetooth related issue. I have had contention issues. For example, I was washing my car and was listening to music from phone with two BT buds. The vehicle BT grabbed the connection when I moved it!

I turned off "Nearby Device" permission in Lincoln Way app and this stopped activating the light show, etc but still can lock/unlock/start with phone. I can easily change to get full function.

This morning I got a key not detected message when trying to start my car with the phone. Starting the Lincoln App usually resolves the issue, but it didn’t immediately do so, so I entered the manual code and drove off to the gym with my non- functioning phone as key. By the time I got to the gym, the phone as key was working as I was able to lock the car from the lock icon. It worked fine on my way back home too.

I've got that message a couple of times as well. But I've always ignored it and the car starts up without a problem.

Having similar issue with a Galaxy S23 ultra and my 2023 Lincoln nautilus. had no problem setting it up when I got the car in July 2023. Took it in for the factory recall emissions related Onboard diagnostics update and also a battery check. Since getting the car back the phone as a key stopped working. I reset the phone as a key and also did a master reset. Can't seem to get phone as a key back with the S23 ultra. Any ideas? Thank you

Hi. So I just got off the phone with Lincoln concierge. What is happening is that I am able to pair phone with a key but on the main screen of the Lincoln way app I get bluetooth connecting as a loop without the bluetooth connection being maintained. We went through all the steps including a master reset. seems like something got switched off internally in the vehicle when it went through an electrodiagnostics at the dealer this week. Taking the car back to the dealer where hopefully this will be solved.

I got this email today from Lincoln.

I just got it too. My phone is 14 but have bluetooth for PAAK disabled. There have a couple of software updates over the last 3 weeks.

My phone is Android 15, but I assume I'm in the same boat — however I rarely use PAAK.
