Customer Satisfaction Program 24B54 - Certain 2024 Model Year Nautilus - Update Infotainment Software

Per a FB post, looks like the center screen Google map will now show traffic flow even when displayed on half the screen. That is a plus. From the picture it doesn’t seem like the traffic info is on the 48” screen though.

Actually, while driving to the gym this morning, I already seem to have this feature. I wonder if I received a recent update. I don't remember seeing this before. I will check next time I'm in the car.

It sounds like the background color for the seatbelt warning graphic may have been changed to brown with the new update (another FB post).

I gotta say that I'm getting a bit of a bad vibe that a handful of members have this update, but we're not really hearing about any significant improvements.
I think the question is, have they only fixed the quarks in the existing build or have they added some new functionality. Perhaps they have a 4Q update in the works. As we know this depends upon the amount of effort it took to fix the know bugs. Keeping my fingers crossed hoping for new features

My personal take on the software update was to get the system to where it should have been from day one. Get rid of most if not all of the major issues. Hope for a Q1 or late Q4 update to coincide with MY25 launch with enhancements and new features.

The CSP description is consistent with it being primarily a bugfix/stability release, not a bunch of new things.

From a software development standpoint it makes sense - get the existing software baseline working cleanly, and only then start adding stuff.
(A couple of small non-bugfix UI tweaks, like changing a color for something, may also get done, as they're extremely low risk for unintended consequences. Those would fit under the refinements category, as would things like fixing typos.)

My seatbelt graphic has not changed, but I do see traffic information in the native Google maps, even when the map is only taking up half of the center screen. I have to assume this change came over the air, probably on Aug 30 and I just didn’t notice it until now.

I'm ok with a major bug fix release. It's what I wanted and what I expected. Enhancements will be nice-to-haves after the system works as originally intended. But I've not yet read about one bug fix. Hopefully, I'm just impatient.

The description indicates they're trying to lessen or fix software reboots, screen freezes and general performance issues.

It'll take run time for people to mention things like that (fewer or no occurrences of the common issues).

I see traffic 48 inch screen. I have had battery fix updates but first thought it was more due to android auto updates since has been a big android update in last few weeks.

What I wanted...
No lost profiles
No losing its mind requiring reboot
Fob and memory button fix
Reboot pop gone
Fix dim display bug
Dead battery syndrome fix

As of April the easy entry/exit fix was tagged for Q3, so it's worth seeing if that has been fixed.

For anyone getting the update, do you see a Power Up description on Lincoln Way (might be different terminology on the '24 Nautilus - it's a one time blurb about what has changed)? That may provide at least a bit of insight on what's in the update.

Have you noticed any difference in the infotainment performance? Did they add any new 48” screen widgets?

Thanks
I've only driven a little bit sine the software fixes/upgrades, but I did notice immediately that the turn signal sound was different and a bit louder.

The other thing I noticed was that there is now a toggle in vehicle settings for display of the coolant temperature. I don't recall seeing that before.

Yes, ditto. The turn signal sound is a lot louder now and borderline obnoxious. Not sure if they had to do that safety code reasons or what, but it is much louder. There is another notification sound that is different too....but cannot remember what it was. lol

Any new widgets for the 48” screen? Did they fix the entry/exit seat position issue? Did they fix the drive mode button so it actually toggles through the drive modes instead of having to select it from the middle screen? Did they add the pop-up that asks you if you want to keep the last drive mode when you start the vehicle like the owners manual described?

What is this issue about? I have my 24 Nautilus Reserve for 5 weeks and I did not notice anything relating to the entry/exit seat position.

So the engine coolant temperature gauge had been missing?

It sounds like one missing item (something supposed to be there per the 2024 manual, page 134) has made it in - progress!
