Engine recalls

I think I reported this earlier but I will comment about it once again.
I was contacted by a friend out in the Bay Area about my Nautilus. He thought is was very good looking and was in a buying mood. He and the wife went to a Lincoln dealer in the Bay Area and he reported that the place looked like a junk yard. They also went on the Nautilus forum and that experience plus the trip to the dealership convinced hime to move on to the Lexus dealer where he purchased a RX350. The Nautilus forum scared him off. People posting their experiences with the Nautilus was very valuable. I feel that the forum is a valuable tool and provides the information for people to make a good decision. I should have paid attention.

Who cares, you should have paid attention to all the defective engines that Lexus has before you bought one.

Future Lincoln Guy. Do you own a Lincoln or are you just a troll?

I had a 2020 Aviator. Nice vehicle but 13 mpg was not a good feature today. Bought a hybrid BMW and then the hybrid Lexus.
Had several problems with the Aviator.

I said it earlier and everyone jumped on me and I’m a Lincoln fan (had 11 so far) I don’t think the Nautilus is junk. I think it’s an excellent vehicle. However it is plagued with issues. I do believe most of them are Electronic and Fords lack of having competent software engineers and designers. I mean you can look at the posts and the number of posts in them. It’s crazy ! Lincoln has some of the nicest looking and nicest riding vehicles. A lot of the foreign makes are as ugly as sin lol. They just need to fix the electronic communications before it ruins their name and hurts the brand. I also think poor dealers and their lack of skilled mechanics is hurting also. Any vehicle can have a problem or two. What amplifies it is bringing it in and getting the statement cannot replicate customer concern. I mean come on at least try to figure it out lol

Sometimes people like to to see their complaints in print. My F150 had for 12 years flawless. My neighbor just had his 2022 F150 bought back, numerous issues dealer couldn't fix, so I guess that means no one should buy a F150, GM having all kinds of problems with their trucks, Toyota replacing engines, so what does one buy. Having a bad vehicle is an anomaly. To lump every single vehicle in with your problems...well guess I don't understand.

As a side note Infinity many years ago had transmission problems were not published. If your vehicle went in for anything dealer would make an excuse give you a loaner and R&R the transmission.

We owned a 1991 Saturn that was a lemon and replaced very courteously by GM at the time. We handed that car down in the family and it went around 300k before it was junked. Also have owned a 1980 Triumph TR7, 1984 Dodge Daytona, and 2006 MB E350 Wagon that should have been replaced as lemons, but weren't so courteously treated at the time. BTW, We still have the TR7 and E350 – having invested small fortunes in repairs we decided to drive them forever. Our kids put 75K on the wagon which is around 200k now. The TR7 still runs most of the time. :ROFLMAO: Also owned a BMW 540i-M and two Nissans (Maxima and Murano) all with terrific owner experiences and practically no issues over >150k miles on each.

Our Lincoln experience with an MKT and our Nautilus have been largely trouble free and the minor issues we've had were addressed by our dealer quickly and professionally. The MKT experience is what brought us back to Lincoln for the Nautilus. We aren't overjoyed by the minor tech issues in the '24s Infotainment, but the driving is totally up to expectation, and the features/price were all better than the comparable vehicles we tested. Very sorry to hear anyone is having a less positive experience, but glad they're shared here so we can know what might occur down the road with ours. Wish we had similar forums on past vehicles.

Just had our Nautilus serviced by a mobile tech yesterday for a recall (window motor not sensing obstructions) and a TSB (something about parking brake indictor we hadn't noticed) and it was a great reminder about why we picked this car and dealer. Proactive service, performed on our schedule, with minimal time and effort on our part – can't expect perfection, but good service is worth the price of this vehicle.

I do not lead a sad life at all. I may continue to troll. Warning folks who are thinking of buying a Nautilus what problems to expect. The problems are well known. Worst car I have ever owned.
I'm not sure you are seeing this from the 10,000 foot level. If you had owned our car instead, you would have experienced none of the issues you had. We've been virtually bug free. Would your opinion on the vehicle be different based on a difference of one sample? If we owned your car, maybe we'd hate it. Maybe not. There's still a lot to like.

I'm not going to tell you the car did not launch without issues. But many on here experienced the issue you have and still love the vehicle. Those of us who have held on to it now have a vehicle much better than it was during the launch. If the few remaining minor issues are addressed in this imminent software release, the vehicle will be as good as we could have hoped.

Some folks are pleased with their 2024 Nautilus. I am not and am glad it's gone. Way too many problems to put up with.
Also the buttons for selecting features or options are much too small and hard to read. Selecting radio stations is difficult at best. Adaptive cruise control is hard to work. Blue Cruise keeps reminding me to keep my hands on the wheel and eyes on the road even though I never took my hands off the wheel or eyes off of the road, Alert tome just kept blaring until I turned BlueCruise off. Good looking vehicle and Lincoln service was very good. Just an unreliable vehicle.

Bobby how many times are you going to post about a vehicle you got rid of?

I will continue until you stop spreading bad information about Lexus engine recalls which I have not found no evidence of yet.
What I am posting is the truth about the problems I had with my Nautilus. By the way---I am on the Lexus ES forum and there are very few problems reported about the ES300h which is the car that I bought. The Lexus forum reads nothing like the Nautilus forum. It may be that the Nautilus will get straighten out over time but upon launch of the 2024 vehicle it was a mess.
Like I said,, good looking vehicle and my Lincoln dealers service was very good. Too bad ford released the car for sale too early. PS my brother took delivery of his Nautilus and in the first week the adaptive cruise control quit working. I sincerely hope that is the only problem he has.

So you couldn't even convince your brother not to buy a Nautilus and he still owns it?

How long exactly has the Lexus ES been in production? Using the same hybrid system Toyota uses in the Prius. Maybe a few more years than the new Nautilus?
There are currently engine replacements in progress on several Toyota lines. Toyota = Lexus

Toyota and Lexus will replace roughly 100,000 engines in Tundra trucks and LX SUVs built for the 2022 and 2023 model years. The replacement engines will resolve a May recall caused by machining debris left in the engine during the manufacturing process.Jul 26, 2024

I will say ALL modern cars have their issues. Trying to put space shuttle technology in a car without NASA budget or engineers lol. Also cost cutting and poor quality control. Any member former or current is entitled to their opinions here so long as no one is totally disrespectful. Then a moderator might jump in and ban them. Otherwise free speech 😃
