2024 delivery schedule

During my inspection I even laid on the show room floor to check out under carriage elements. Coming from a 22 Corsair GT that has missing structural support for rear quarters behind the wheels. On the Nautilus it looked structurally sound in that area. One thing I noticed was the was the almost all of the underside of the vehicle covered in the same materials that is typically found in the wheel wells ( like a stiff outdoor carpeting). I assume this will aid in sound deadening among other things.
Sadly though. No change in my order status today but still hoping!!

Neptune Barcelona landed at Portland an hour ago, only a few hours behind schedule. Huh, I wonder what that feels like.

Hopefully, we'll see her deliver her litter of Nautili Friday.
 
My car (10/17/2023 order - Hybrid Reserve III) got an updated status to 4/4/2024 on the Lincoln Order Tracking website, so it looks like it was on the Neptune Barcelona as suspected. Would yesterday's status change be an "unloaded from ship" status update? Or is it a "loaded on rail car" status update? I'm doing my best to understand my car's movement with a dealer that isn't helpful.

Whoa, there fella. I don't think You're going to get on a rail car the day after the ship docks.

Even though the ship docked yesterday, the date change occurs when the vehicle is physically scanned. That's usually the day it's unloaded, but isn't always that day. I've certainly seen it scanned before it gets unloaded.

The only thing you should assume is that your vehicle is being unloaded on or around 4/4. We'll be able to tell exactly which day it was by looking at the import records.

Now comes the wait for the rail car. As @agogley has noted, each car goes through 'work started' and 'work completed' events during this period. We're not sure what that work is, but while it will not impact your Last updated date, it will delay getting onto that rail car.

Thanks agogley. That is very useful information. You mentioned it took 21 days from « Departed pickup » status until you received your car. The car I am tracking to Houston has reached this status. Where are you located that took 21 days? Thanks.
 
My dealer was actually kind of helpful this time and said that VinView shows 5/14 to 5/18 for dealer delivery (after yesterday's Portland arrival). We'll see if that plays out as accurate.

I thought Amazon Prime was slow. I think Amazon Prime is 1-2 day delivery. I typically receive my Amazon Prime shipments in 5-6 days.

So if my car ever gets scheduled for build I guess it will be another 6 months to get it to Florida.

Not to derail topic, but as a disabled hermit, I use Amazon a LOT. I usually get ~10 packages a week.

Amazon Prime is only 1-2 day delivery for items shipped by Amazon, and some 3rd parties who use Amazon as their distributor. Other 3rd parties can be 'Prime', but do not have to adhere to 1-2 day delivery. This was a policy change that started during the pandemic. I pay attention to the sellers, and generally get all my deliveries in 1-2 days.

If you're referring to car carrier ships, good timing. I was just curious about the details yesterday. So I watched this on YouTube. It's a bit centric to Europe deliveries. But I'm sure it's a similar process.

Lol. I know all about car carriers. I was wondering how the Nautilus' would work. More issues? Less issues? 😄

Yeah, I agree. I can see I left the wording ambiguous.

I did the same car carrier research six months ago. At that time, we hadn't identified the first ship yet. There was some thought they'd use containers, which are still in use for low volume shipments. But for thousands of vehicles, nothing is more efficient than RoRo ships.

You need to complain to Amazon. We get 1 to 2 day deliveries in one day, some same day and some next morning. It looks like Amazon will try to get away with whatever they can.

There are no Amazon warehouses near me. We do not have the Amazon delivery vehicles anywhere near us. I live in a rural america. Amazon delivers our packages to the USPS and they deliver last mile. Put the Prime membership costs the same as yours does. Without Prime membership delivery dates are worse.
 
Is Amazon now delivering the 2024 Nautilus?? ;)

Way ahead of you. I read them and that's why I posted. Just trying to get the point across that the thread is about the Nautilus deliveries when it seems Amazon appears to be the discussion now. :)
