2024 delivery schedule

Thanks so much for the info! We had settled on USPDX as the arrival port, but there are multiple ports at the Yangtze delta near Shanghai (near Hangzhou), CNSHG (or in China spelled CNSGH) is the major port and one I had been watching the most.

I believe the ship is Platinum Ray, a large vehicle carrier. It's one I had noted on here as a strong candidate 11/24. It left Shanghai, stopped at Korea two places, and then cut back to Tianjin near Beijing. I lost hope. But it left there for Portland. It will only have vehicles shipped before mid-November, but very nice that we at least have some visibility of one ship.

How did you reach this conclusion?

How did you reach this conclusion?
We've had several dealers confirm the only U.S. port is Portland. And with the factory in Hangzhou, the most logical export city is Shanghai. As far as directly associating it with Nautilus', @7.62Kolectr provided us with that by showing a vehicle on the water using the dealer's tracking software (VINView, I think?). We could confirm via the timing and route that it exactly matched a large vehicle carrier (PR) that we'd already observed leaving Shanghai two weeks earlier.

That one was easy. There could be others in the Asian waters getting ready to travel to Portland that we haven't yet identified, including your ship.

Btw, when were your order and build dates?

I see. I was missing the link that several dealers indicated Portland was the only port that would be used by Ford/Lincoln (why is that, btw?).
I had found the same ship before based on one customer's report in a FB group. But that person never followed up so I wasn't sure why she believed it was Portland per se.

As per my order which was shipped on 12/7, I just assume it's not on an actual ship yet.

Ordered 6-2 from dealer
Order confirmed with Lincoln on 6-3
Built 11-22
"shipped" 12-7.

As usual my dealer has less information that me just from being part of online groups. I ask him to check my vehicle because I know it has been listed as shipped.

Dealer: it's been shipped.

Me: Yeah, thanks Sherlock. I just told you it was shipped. What else can you tell me?

Dealer: Other dealers have said they expect cars to come in end of March because we are in Florida which is the other side of the country from where the cars will be arriving. So I think your car will come then.

ME: Wow...You mean Florida is on the opposite end of the country from the West Coast? On what basis are these dealers coming up with a couple more months in FL versus other states given travel by train and truck doesn't add up that much time? Can you check vinview?

Dealer: Ok...I'll try.

This is the same dealer who had ZERO info about the Orlando auto show. Another dealer apparently had the show. But they didn't know that Miami autoshow had a dealer with a Nautilus at the show.

My experience with dealers is I guess what I'd expect. They don't know much of anything about the cars much less the competition.

We've been told the gas cars would deliver in January to February, but hybrids in late Feb by to March. We pretty much figured that all the Nautilus vehicles on PR are gas vehicles, so that much seems to be true. As far as why there would be such a gap? My only guess was that the hybrids might take longer to complete their EPA testing, or some other administrative task that's hindering their release.

As far as 'why Portland? It was guessed that it's due to traffic. LA, Long Beach, and San Diego are extremely busy, and berths capable of RoRo ships are at a premium. We've been told Lincoln/Ford uses terminal 6 at Portland, which has four berths capable of unloading vehicles. From my observation, they are not as busy.

Fyi, here's a snapshot of ship traffic right now. 1000005738.png

Many that weren’t showing ‘on the water’ the other day are now showing that. I’m assuming it just took a couple days for them to show this and these were already on same ship as others I saw.
Can you perhaps tell if they're headed to Korea, Japan, or open waters? Do you have a departure date/time? I don't see anything headed to Portland yet.

They all have same schedule I posted before and are now showing in the middle of the ocean.
Nevermind. I get it. Everything you see is still on that one ship, right?

I was trying to find out if the 8 of 17 pre-Oct orders on this forum, which all shipped on 12/7, are in the water yet.

I can only see our orders not other dealers.

I got a text from my dealer with this photo:

He didn't actually say what this means...LOL. I just assume its supposed to be my vehicle at a parking lot in China.

Who is "we" and who told this "we?"

I did some research. Port of Portland boasts it is one of Ford's main export terminals. According to Car and Driver, Portland is also one of the biggest import ports for cars into the U.S. - 2nd on the West Coast after San Diego (I was surprised when I saw this infographic). A Comprehensive Look at Where Imported Vehicles Enter the U.S.

So I guess that answers that question more thoroughly.

As for all those ships...what's the problem? Get on it!!

That is definitely the Hangzhou factory in China.

You've seen it before, I take it? I don't know how old the photo is. He just texted me the photo with no other context after I asked him to check vinview after perusing this thread. Looked up on Google and sure enough, that's what it looks like. Parking lot in Northwest corner.

But still doesn't say whether that is current location of vehicle using GPS or is it something else. If it is current location than we would understand "shipped" to be putting it in the parking lot which appears to need to be loaded onto a truck to go anywhere else (since it doesn't appear to be near a railyard or anything like that).

We've been told by from a dealer that China is somewhat restrictive of real-time tracking of equipment within it's borders. We've seen data where the map and known location do not agree. If the location is not updated or delayed in China, we can't really be sure where it is until it's on the water.

I personally don't think they track the vehicles independently. They're not activated yet. (Yes, I know they could get around that.) I think they're tracking the road transport, rail transport, or ship. And once in the U S., it'll be the same thing again.

Vehicle carrier Jiuyang Blossom, with a vehicle capacity of 6,900, left Shanghai port on 12/6, stopped at four Korean ports, and just departed for Portland. I don't see why this couldn't be a Nautilus shipment.

My guess is this ship took all the vehicles that had been queued, and afterwards they started shipping vehicles from the factory on 12/7 to replenish the staging area at the port. If another ship is launching today, it may be hard to identify until it heads for Portland.

Ordered 8/14, built 11/5, shipped 11/21. Was just informed by my dealer that my vehicle is on the water and estimated arrival in USA on Dec 27
So that seems very close to date that ship is expected to arrive. I wonder how long it takes for system to update.
