Looks like my Reserve III Hybrid made the boat too. Ordered 9/29/23, built 11/14/23 and shipped 12/7/23

The question of the year is ""what does shipped mean". Out the door at the factory, transported to the dock, or on the boat on the ocean.

Yeah we may never know without some inside info. Ill just fantasize that its on a high speed ferry with a 80' rooster tail on its way directly to the closest river near my home.

A more serious response is — my guess is that it follows the same paradigm that it does for factories in North America. Shipped is when it leaves control of the factory people and into the control of the transportation people. That would likely be when it leaves the gate of the factory/staging area. Maybe our inside guys can can provide a better answer.

My order just updated to shipped! I talked to my sales manager and he was able to see it on satellite at the port, wrapped. He said it did not look like they had enough vehicles to ship yet. maybe ~1000?

If they built mine you’d be one car closer to having it shipped!😄🤞

Apparently they wrap black labels in white wrap.
They wrap all vehicles in white wrap. It’s called Wrap Guard and protects against environmental fallout and rail dust. Almost every automotive manufacturer uses some variation of this product.

Many of ours are showing ‘on the water’. And their icons certainly are. Here’s a pic of one along with some more detailed info regarding the travel. Looks like about 3-4 weeks at sea. Others of ours are ‘at the port’ and show it.

Thanks so much for the info! We had settled on USPDX as the arrival port, but there are multiple ports at the Yangtze delta near Shanghai (near Hangzhou), CNSHG (or in China spelled CNSGH) is the major port and one I had been watching the most.

I believe the ship is Platinum Ray, a large vehicle carrier. It's one I had noted on here as a strong candidate 11/24. It left Shanghai, stopped at Korea two places, and then cut back to Tianjin near Beijing. I lost hope. But it left there for Portland. It will only have vehicles shipped before mid-November, but very nice that we at least have some visibility of one ship.

Maybe mine is on that one since my dealer said possibly 12/17.

My vehicle was built nov 5 and shipped Nov 21. My dealer says his GPS shows it still in China. Does that seem reasonable?
I suppose it’s reasonable if it wasn’t loaded to a roro transfer yet.

Could be. The ship we know about, Platinum Ray, left on 11/21 and it's possible you just missed it. I would think they need to pool a number of vehicles before the next ship is loaded. We had seven people on here say theirs shipped 12/7. I suspect Hangzhou was anticipating a car carrier departing during the window we're in about now. But remember, the ship will likely not depart directly to Portland.

The platinum ray is due into Portland in the 18th of December
