2023 Corsair orders, build dates

Picking up our Corsair tonight. It showed up at the dealership yesterday. On 6/26 status changed to order confirmed and 6/27 jumped to final prep and received this pic from the dealer.

So now I am totally confused...
As I have written here earlier, I ordered my car in September 2022. I finally received a notice in April that it was going to be built the week of 5/22 but that was later changed to the week of 7/17.

Two days ago, I stopped by the dealer who went on his computer and told me that my car was scheduled to be built on July 20, a Thursday, with a delivery in August. 11 months later but finally something solid.

Today, I received a notice that the car had been built and would be at the dealership:

Your 2023 Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring has been built. We are performing some final inspections and preparing to ship it to your Lincoln Retailer. Our current estimate for delivery to Palmetto Lincoln is between July 19, 2023 and July 25, 2023.

If only we lived in a world with tracking systems! Just imagine, they could use computers and know schedules in advance. They could use GPS to locate the vehicles at all times. And the computers could be connected by a web of networks that would allow everyone to have the same information. The dealer, the factory, and the consumer could all get consistent information. Someday, maybe our grandchildren will get to experience this technology.

Even if they were tasked to do it, they would probably cut a deal with the USPS. That way they could continue to keep us in the dark.
 
ok, finally got an answer from the dealership- somehow, my name was put on two vehicles, both are exactly the same. That will give me the first one that comes in, currently scheduled for delivery anywhere from July 19-23.

A dealer gaming the system so that they get inventory when customer orders are supposed to get priority? That shocks me. When Ford gets that computer system, it will flag duplicate orders by the same customer....

ok, yesterday I received notification out of the blue that my Corsair had been built, today that is has been shipped, so I need to update the spreadsheet except I lost that link- can anyone point me the right way?

Can you confirm that this was the one that was originally scheduled for April? I presume it is not the one that was estimated for 7/17. Either way, congrats.

I had one scheduled for May then another scheduled for July, and as it turned out, both completely different cars. This is the May build which apparently did not get built until June.
 
I jus checked my status. It was showing "week of 7/17" which I can track as the 17th is a Monday. Now it has been updated to the "week of 7/20". First off, another slip. Second, in what world does a week start on both Monday and Thursday???
