2023 Corsair orders, build dates

I received it on April 28 when they gave me a May 22 build date, then later I received another notice that it was going to be built on July 17, but the order # and vins were different between the two cars so I have no idea what I am getting.
Maybe you get 2 cars. Is there a buy one get one promotion?

damn I hope not, waiting for two cars is twice as bad, I don't need to be doubly disappointed!
our orders are pretty similar. If 2 show up, I will take one off your hands.

Honestly, though, we started looking at completely different options and I am seriously hoping my wife doesn't love the Corsair when it comes in. This long delay has other options on the table. Sadly, I wish it would lead to "consequences" for Lincoln, but we know they will easily sell this to someone else.

That said, I started a dialogue with another Lincoln dealer and they are driving me nuts. It would seem like these things aren't moving like you might think they would.

yeah, I can never get anyone on the line from the dealership. I actually am trying to buy on the Z plan but that number will expire in September. My Dad told me he has never heard of a z plan expiring so I would be a first.

I am doing X plan, but to my knowledge the order doesn't show that. It is not supposed to have any bearing on this wait. At this point, though, for all I know the guy with the post-it notes is watching this forum and strategically hosing certain people based on how much we complain. This does not seem like the behavior of a huge conglomerate.

Several of the other car makers we are considering are not doing orders at all. But, I can find vehicles equipped the way I want them sitting on lots or in transit. Yes, there are some challenges with exact color and options, but I haven't been able to lay my eyes on any GTs on Lincoln lots. It is really pretty crazy. I would not normally consider buying a vehicle in July. This is essentially an 11 month old model year by July. For Lincoln, though, it seems that they have swung that pendulum the other way.

A / Z / X plan numbers good for 1year. In todays climate one does not get the number till you have a scheduled build week. You can get another number but you burn one incase you have family members wanting a PIN number too. One is allowed 4 per calendar year.

Congrates to all that have received their new babies but I know quite a few folks are/were stuck in limbo waiting for their built vehicles to be shipped. So, I was just wondering who is still waiting for their already built vehicle and how long ago was it built?
Just received email today from Lincoln dealer in Windsor Ontario that Corsair has arrived. It was put on order Nov 4/22, build week of May 3/23 and built date of June 4th. Tracking sire still did not show shipped.
Unfortunately, I am gone for summer to our cottage up north. I now have to drive home 850 miles round trip, pickup the car and put into our home garage. I will not get to drive it until end of September. I will have to enjoy my driving experience reading the posts from this site.

And that is why I moved to a lake some 25 years ago! 😀 You must be up on Lake of the Woods?

Built 6/9 and waiting. However I think it shipped because my status jumped back to order confirmed today. Seems like many had that ahead of shipped.

I still don't even have a window sticker created! Current estimate is build the week of 7/17. Shouldn't I expect to have a window sticker by now?

I have never seen a more poorly run schedule. You would think they were working with post-it notes instead of a computer based solution.

ordered 4/3; built 6/19; shipped 6/26 :)
This is my point. Do I want to do business with a company who treats customers so inconsistently?

It's a good thing you didn't order an Aviator! Ordered on Oct. 31st. Into production on April 3rd and there it sits still. I believe it has been but is sitting on a lot somewhere with more than 9.000 others awaiting the rear camera recall resolution. ETA is July 22nd.

Peter,

I am not sure we are tracking here. It is unfortunate when there is a recall and they hold back large numbers of a vehicle. But, as we waited in Jan/Feb for the instrument cluster issue to be resolved, I can respect a delayed build/release for "all vehicles" to avoid a black eye (or worse, life-safety concern).

My frustration is the lack of transparency explaining why an order placed in September is still not in production but an order placed in April is waiting to be shipped. We have had a lot of discussion regarding the various dealer priorities, but that is an insane spread. I have local dealers with unsold 2023 Corsairs on the their lot (nothing that is equipped to my liking). A "sold" custom order should not still be waiting to be scheduled after 9 months.

The entire point of the spreadsheet I created was to determine if there was a legit supply chain or software issue for a specific feature, color, or option. If there is, it is definitely not obvious in that spreadsheet. This is my frustration with Lincoln. Why do I need to crack to code of which dealers get priority?

Received my Corsair today ❤️🎉
I never saw 'shipped' status. It changed to 'Order confirmed' on 06/05 after being built and to 'Final prep' on 06/22. Got the delivery today. 70914375752__7C71770E-A27C-470F-BF11-108081A8D683.webp
