2023 Corsair orders, build dates

We have a Reserve III with a blend date 6/5 Jet Appearance black/black. Can anyone confirm in person the headliner color? Initial pictures with ebony interior showed a grayish color while red leather and cashew received black headliners. Local dealer got a 23' in today with ebony interior and the headliner is almost TAN. Can someone with black on black confirm the color? 2022 corsairs were definitely a light gray color.

So, I ordered a 2023 Corsair GT on 9/20 from my retailer. Fully optioned (302A, 24 way seats, tow pkg, etc). Finally built on 4/22, and now has had it's delivery date pushed four times "in order to ensure your complete satisfaction". Definitely feel everyone's pain here, and knew what we were getting into - our Aviator GT took from an 8/21 order date to a 5/22 delivery.

But...whoa. Have never seen a company struggle to make vehicles this badly. The Corsair would be our fourth Lincoln, but in my frustration with the wait (and general apathy from the dealership) I ended up with an Merc EQE 450 4Matic. Walked on to lot, had a number to choose from, whole process took about an hour and a half post test drive. Love our lincolns, and the standard technology packages (when not under recall) beat mercedes, though mercedes has better optional technology.

Will probably proceed with a low mileage lease on the corsair, assuming it ever gets delivered, but has anyone else decided to purchase another car due to the wait, and if so, which one?

I wonder if it's the recall that is responsible for getting the delivery date pushed back.
I'm thinking that you meant to say that you've never seen a company struggle so badly to make vehicles rather than struggling to make vehicles this badly. I don't think the vehicles are that bad. :D

Thanks, and yes I meant struggle so badly to make vehicles, though given the number of recalls already on both our Aviator and the Corsair, and the fit and finish of the new merc...

20 or 30 years ago when some of us were ordering new cars none of us had access to all the information that's available to us today. You ordered a car and weeks or months later your dealer called and said it's in, come get it. No one knew what happened in between such as strikes, law suits, recalls plant closures, and so on. It was what it was! Now with the internet, we seem to know the day by day status of our Corsair order. I'm not sure that is all that healthy?!

I ordered my 2023 GT in September '22 and it's still not built. Getting frustrated & I'm getting close to looking at another manufacturer. Love Lincoln but this is beyond unreal. I had a '22 GT on order and refused delivery after it took 11 months to be built. The '22 model was delivered in January '23 and I felt it was already a full model year into depreciation so I decided to refuse, plus I was so skeptical it would ever be built I put in the order for a '23. I'm beginning to feel I'm silly waiting for them as some manufacturers are selling/placing orders for '24 models now.
BTW, what is an EQE450? In the Mercedes EQE lineup I only see 350 and 500 models, both in the EQE sedan and SUV lineup.

Hello littleneil
You are right to a certain point.... years ago, few weeks or 2 months waiting was acceptable and we were expecting it. Now the big difference is wait time is almost a year for some and 6 months for most (if lucky). Not mentioning that dealers are not calling us. Years ago we knew what to expect but now nobody knows or not telling. I guess wondering what's happening is normal.

Ordered my Corsair on 3/29
In Production on 6/7
Can anyone give me an idea of the time from "in production" to "built"?
If it is being held up by the rearview camera recall then I believe it won't be in the "Built' state until that issue is resolved. My Aviator has been "In Production" since April 3rd although the last update I received from my Lincoln rep last week said it has been "produced" but the status hasn't changed on the tracker since there is no such state there. Corsair production is likely different but that's my situation.

Less than 10 days usually. Most have been 3 to 4 lately.

It looks like the 2023 Corsair with the Sync 4 does not have the camera issue. 🤞

That may be true but it is included in the article and even my dealership manager mentioned it. SInce there hasn't been a "fix" found, I don't know if the issue is with Sync or the camera.

I would like to be able to help you based on experience. BUT, I ordered on 1/19 and still don't have a VIN or anything other than Ford acknowledging the order. 😭

I just looked at the Ford VIN site and checked a 2023 Corsair that my Tucson, AZ dealer has in inventory and it shows no hold. I also verified it has the 360 camera. Can you check one from Canada?

The new car market is so different now. The pandemic, chip shortage, parts shortage, no cars to test drive, no cars to even look at. My Corsair is supposed to be built this week, put on a train to Orlando a few weeks later, then delivered by truck to Tampa. I'm hoping for the best and planning for the worst.

The pandemic was an excuse for people to not work. After the pandemic people got used to not working or working from home. I don’t believe anything. All the shortages come back to……..people got lazy and don’t want to work. End of story lol

A 450 is a 350 with a typo! Have the 350 sedan.
