2023 Corsair orders, build dates

My first date “in production” was 4/13…the blend date on the window sticker was 4/21 and I was 1799 out of a batch of 2558
 
Thats a little pricey, but would make for some nice pictures for an album.

Not anytime in the near future. They're making less of those than the Corsair. Lol. The ones that are built are fetching anywhere from $50-100k over sticker so I'll just be content with the Stingray. :cool:

One of these would be an open invitation to rack up speeding tickets for me....this monster would probably get speeding tickets just standing still..... 🤣

Hey @New2Linc — Mine is very similar to yours. That is, blend date was 4/21 and 1624 out of that batch of 2558. Good luck!

Well, since everyone is getting some type of communication lately I decided to call Lincoln Concierge again to find out why others have a Status Priority Code or a planned Production date and I have had no communication, other than the initial Confirmation that my GT order was placed in September. At least this time they confirmed I have a Priority Code of 2, which they say is top Priority. This is the first time I could get any info other than "the order is confirmed". They said Production info was only opened up 2 weeks ago and I should be hearing something soon. 🤞

I hate to be a buzzkill but my GT order has been at priority 2 since at least February when I stopped in at my dealer and picked up my DORA sheet. 10 days is a drop in the bucket. I am inclined to think my order is lost.
 
Hi gang. It seems there may be some misunderstanding as to what a "Priority Code" actually is and means.

In most cases, a "Priority Code" is simply a numerical code which is applied to an order by the Dealership where it was ordered, and when it was ordered. It places that particular vehicle order into a line of priority (so to speak), as compared to other vehicles of the same model placed by that Dealership. And the Dealer assigns that Priority Code the day they place the order.
Those Dealer assigned Priority Codes are numbered from 10-19, with 10 being the highest (best) priority a Dealer can assign themselves. And 19 being the lowest (worst).
And short of intervention from Ford Corporate/Regional Headquarters (see below), a vehicle order keeps that same Priority Code throughout the entire scheduling and production process.

In other words, a vehicle with a Dealer assigned Priority Code of 10 does not become a 9, then an 8, then a 7 etc, as it moves closer to production. It simply stays as a 10 through scheduling, production etc. Again, short of intervention from Lincoln/Ford themself.

In some cases...in reality very few...a vehicle can be assigned a Priority Code of 1-9 by Lincoln/Ford Corporate, Regional headquarters etc. Those cases are usually for vehicles which are buyback replacements, vehicles ordered to replace those damaged in transit, vehicles ordered by people whose last name is Ford, etc. ;)
In other words, unusual circumstances reserved for exceptional customer service situations.

However, vehicles do not move down the line of priority/pecking order towards "Priority 1" as they get closer to production. No 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1.

Hope that explanation is understandable and clears up any confusion. If not, feel free to ask any questions about whatever I did not explain well.

Have to be honest never heard of a priority code 1.

Typically goes from 10 lowest dealer can assign, to a 2 which is a district or regional assignment.

Although I wrong more than I am right so I really not positive.

Like many other things I have been out of the car game for a long time. I still have my dwell meter and timing light. When the computers to over I was done. I wanted it to be about what I did and not some tune one can purchase.

I was going to ask what the deal was with Priority Codes...thanks for the info and taking the time to help us understand.

Hi ljnelson. Two points to remember: First...see my explanation above of what a "Priority Code" actually means.

Second...2023 Corsair production was halted until late March/early April. And after production began in earnest in late March/early April, there were several criteria which needed to be met, before customer orders were produced. Which is why no 2023 Corsairs have seen the light of day for all of us so far.

Mainly...there needs to be a period of error free production before customer orders are produced. Those early vehicles which were built before the defect free time period is achieved, will not be scheduled to fill customer orders in order avoid unhappy customers. They will be used as company vehicles, fleet vehicles, etc.

So essentially, "Priority Codes" meant nothing until the present, since vehicles are only now being produced for customer orders.

Hi olderbudweiser. Ford Priority Codes
  • 1-9: Ford assigns.
  • 10-19: Assigned by Dealers for their own customer orders.
  • 20-80: Dealer stock.
  • 99: “Do Not Build”
A Priority Code of "1" is rarely seen. Probably saved for those aforementioned customers whose last name is Ford. ;)

I finally looked at all those numbers on the window sticker. My blend date has neveer changed 4/6 and 1276 out of 2325. It went into production 3/28 and shipped 4/28 . I will update when final prep comes up.
