Subwoofer delete

What do I do? They deleted the subwoofer from my Standard Aviator build. I got my production date today, and it’s in the details. Is it possible to aftermarket the subwoofer or can I order it as a part from Lincoln later?

If Ford is having trouble getting the subwoofer, you will likely also. Getting a nonstandard replacement may make installation difficult due to mounting, size, etc. If the subwoofer is important to you, I would cancel the order. Maybe then they will commit to providing what was promised.

was just buying this for second car. I already the 22 ST Explorer. So I was trying to get the sound a little better.

Mine had the factory sub and 28 speakers and I'll tell you that there was little or no sound coming from the sub!!! We just finished building a new box with 2 Focal 12's (short throw) using a Kicker amp and it made a world of difference. We made a new panel for the top and cut grills into it and you would never know they were there!!!

Hi Pioneer. You are correct in noting that article neglects to mention the Revel Ultima audio system. Which is the top of the line, 28 speaker system.

There are 3 systems offered, based on trim level and option packages. They are the base level Lincoln Premium system (10 speakers), the Revel System (14 speakers), and the Revel Ultima system (28 speakers).

Mine is a 20 Reserve but options may be a bit different as it was originally sold in Canada. I've noticed it has a lot of options as it is pretty loaded and does have the Revel Ultima system. But the bottom line is still, factory systems have very little output from a sub and if you want to really hear it you must spend $. Plus if you just want to replace the factory sub (if it has one) with a better sub, it's as much work as we spent building the box and making the panel above it and probably would not give you the results you are after.

You're right Peter, it does sound great but as you can tell, I'm a bit of a redneck and listen to country all the time. I like it much better now with the subs we have added. What I really meant was that it one does not get the sub from the factory they can be added by a competent shop. The wiring should be there and it's an easy tap if you need power for a separate amp.

In March 2023, purchased new 2023 Aviator Standard model, however the 10 speakers' system deleted the subwoofer. My understanding, there was a supply chain issue, whereas subwoofer was not available during build. I called the Lincoln concierge 888-214-2155 x77860 to understand when this subwoofer will be available for installation. They will contact the dealer to this subwoofer added onto equipment list when its available for installation.

• Lincoln Premium Audio System with 10 Speakers including Subwoofer.
  • Premium Audio subwoofer delete (MSRP) -250.00

My dealership was very helpful but had no information to add. Anyone have any additional information on this subwoofer issue?

This is the first That I have heard/read that the subwoofer will be added at a later date. BTW, there already is a thread on the subwoofer delete which has this link; https://fordauthority.com/2022/08/2...gust 29th,the subwoofer and amplifier removed.

I received the Window Sticker for my 2023 Reserve and there is no mention of the subwoofer delete. It shows Revel Ultima 3D Audio 28 Spk.

I just found out they deleted the subwoofer from the 2023 Lincoln Corsair that I ordered back in September 2022. It is due to be delivered to my dealership the 2nd week of May, but I've decided I'm not going to take delivery on it. I upgraded to the better sound system because that is important to me in my vehicle. As much as I wanted the car, I'm willing to wait until I can get all the features that I want.

On the Corsair there is no 28 speaker system. Yes it exists but I think it's exclusive to the Navigator.
The 14 speaker Revel system is the TOL

I had seen that after I commented. The same issue exists with the Corsair. Subwoofer is being deleted. I'm guessing it's a supply issue.
Same problem exists for both vehicles.
