2023 Corsair orders, build dates

I don’t know if it will be the same for you guys but the aviator thread has cars that are in production so far for a month. So could it be feasible if you cars are being built in March that you might not see them until the end of April or early June ?
Ford Motor Company Chicago Assembly currently assembles the Ford Explorer and Lincoln Aviator. The 2023 Lincoln Aviator entered production on May 30th, 2022. The Chicago facility didn't close down.

https://fordauthority.com/2022/01/2023-lincoln-aviator-will-go-into-production-on-may-30th/

The Kentucky facility (Escape and Corsair plant) was shut down and hasn't yet restarted production.

What I’m saying is people here are getting March build dates. I’m wondering how soon after their build dates will their car be built and delivered ? Provided the plant opens back up end of February like it’s supposed to

Hi DD. As Arteest pointed out, there is no comparison or relationship between the Corsair and Aviator. They are two different vehicles which are produced at two different plants, on two different model year schedules, living through different parts/commodity shortages, etc. etc. The Aviator already went through its 2023 model year startup pains last year. The Corsair is on a different model year production schedule and is therefore, going through its 2023 model year startup problems now.

In addition, current production timetables are a mess due to the ongoing pandemic induced parts/commodity shortages. So all anyone can do at this point is guess, which is a very inaccurate way of doing things.

In the past, once a vehicle rolled off the assembly line, it could be forecast to be loaded on a train and delivered to the Dealership in ~2 weeks, give or take according to where it had to go in the country. But that was in the good old days, and we are not back to the good old days yet. Now we have parts and commodity shortage delays, transportation delays, etc. etc.

So all of that being said, there are two important points to keep in mind: First, everyone needs to forget about the "Production" dates, since they do not necessarily mean anything in this current state of the world. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't, but there is no way for any of us to know when it does or does not mean anything.

Next...in the past. generally speaking, once the "build" actually started, it would be finished in a day or two. However, that is no longer the case, because there can be unforeseen shutdowns, or sudden parts shortages, or the need to go to another facility for specialty features/items to be added, etc. etc. etc...you hopefully get the picture.

Any predictions on a current vehicle timetable for a particular 2023 Corsair delivery is as accurate as picking boxes in a Super Bowl pool.

And this is all an industry wide issue, not a Lincoln/Ford issue.

This is not meant to be all gloom and doom. Things will smooth out and get better. But trying to predict vehicle deliveries at this point is an exercise in futility, for everyone.

Hope you can get yours as soon as possible, and good luck. 🍻

Once again, none of that helps anyone here waiting for a car.

Every time I go to check on the status of my GT on order the theme music from Jeopardy! starts playing in my head. Go figure!

Once again, none of that helps anyone here waiting for a car.

Hi BMM. Gee...there is always one. :ROFLMAO:

It was a specific answer to specific questions asked by DomDoobie, not you. And it is the correct information to DomDoobie's questions. Sometimes there is no answer. And ironically, DomDoobie had no issues with that information.

No matter how many times people ask these "When will my order be scheduled/produced/delivered..." questions, there is no accurate answer which anyone here can provide. You may not like that answer, but it was the accurate and correct answers to DomDoobie's questions.

And if it helps just one other member realize there is no answer, that all they can do is stay in contact with their Dealer and Lincoln Concierge for information, and to stop worrying and looking for answers that don't exist, then it was useful whether you like it or not.

I treat people with the respect they offer others. So if you have any better answers, feel free to provide them, instead of uselessly criticizing others who do provide answers.

Hard as it is for some people to understand, sometimes it just ain't all about you. So I myself will keep trying to help others, probably long after you get your vehicle and disappear from this forum.

Good luck.

Although I know there is no clear cut answers I think what I was saying with the Aviator like bbf2530 said they are two different vehicles and the aviator plant is not having issues (that we know of lol) people are being told their vehicles are in production for over a month. That seems odd. So I’m wondering if that would happen with Corsair production also…or not. I would imagine even when they ramp back up the orders might be so backed up it could take time. Again I’m not the amazing kreskin (you have to be old to remember him lol) so I don’t want anyone to be upset just maybe putting out their worst case scenario.

New surprise for me....weeee, just checked my Lincoln tracker this morning March 15th....now build week is back to being blank..no date at all.
Someone has to stop drinking at Lincoln scheduling.

As hard as might be, you guys all need to take a vacation from this. It will drive you all crazy!:giggle:

Just tired of the same PR job for Ford/Lincoln that you keep doing in this thread. You sound like the White House press secretary,

Hi BMM. "PR job for Ford Lincoln"? :ROFLMAO:
Well, if we are shooting for political analogies, you sound like a hack reporter doing a poor job at a White House briefing. :ROFLMAO:

If you use a minimum of reading skills, you will find many threads where I openly tell members here to begin Lemon Law and other buy back procedures and how to do it, how to use Lincoln Concierge to get help, etc. So far from a Ford/Lincoln PR job.
That was a rather feeble try at deflection though.

Therefore, since we are discussing what we are tired of...I get tired of people like you who do nothing to help others, yet constantly cry and moan about the manner in which others do try to help. Yes, constantly, since in your short time, here you've done it before.

Virtually all of your posts are in this one thread. And nearly all of your posts consist of you complaining about you not getting your vehicle quickly enough for your liking. Or you not getting enough correspondence from Lincoln to make you happy, how you may buy a Jaguar SUV, etc. etc. Go buy the Jaguar. Or should I accuse you of being a PR plant for Jaguar? :ROFLMAO:

So turn your critical microscope on yourself for awhile. Then try to help others, instead of crying "What about poor, poor me" all the time. It may make you feel better. Or maybe not.

I did not tell people to stop being frustrated or asking questions. If that bothers me, I am free to ignore the questions and replies. But it does not bother me. I understand the frustration. So I was not rude like you. What I did was give a well founded and correct/accurate explanation of how no one here can give the answers to the questions about when our vehicles will be scheduled/produced/delivered. There are far too many variables in this current economy, such as all the aforementioned parts/commodity shortages, and production and shipping delays.

You don't like how I reply to others, when I am attempting to help them, even though they don't seem to have any issue. So don't get bent out of shape when I address you sticking your nose in a weak attempt to tell me how to reply and help others. And don't try deflecting. It doesn't work. It ain't all about you.

And if it still bothers you that much, block me and you won't need to suffer through my posts.

So again, try scrutinizing your "Poor, poor me" attitude...and try to help others for once.

Good luck.

Guys, let’s all be friends. Don’t take anything personal. Everyone I think is grown and good people. Tensions and frustrations are running high because of delays and problems and car issues. Be good to each other. If I can do anything to help someone in any way just ask

Hi DD. I simply want to help others when I can, and am more than willing to move on with no hard feelings.

Thanks for the effort at peacemaking, and good luck. 🍻

I know you do !

cancelling my order tomorrow. I dont want a stripped down version of what I ordered.
As frustrated as we all are, I wouldn't be hasty and overreact until you confirm it will, in fact, be "stripped down". If I find the eventual delivery date is something I can't live with or if I can confirm something isn't going to be installed that is a "must have" then I will cancel. Until then I'm hoping Lincoln/Ford can pull the preverbal "rabbit out of the hat".

If you think I'm going to take time to read all of that you are sorely mistaken, but hope you enjoyed typing it out. Moving on....

Danmaninnc, I can't say I blame you for canceling. I'm on the verge of doing the same. I can understand delays, but no communication from Lincoln or my dealer and the fact that options are starting to be stripped from the car make the whole situation almost laughable at this point.

I can understand the impatience of members who have orders in and Lincoln does not update enough. I myself have had an order in for a Ford Hybrid Maverick. Initial order was made in October 2021. Never built, was rolled over to a 2023 still nothing. So I understand about waiting.

The reserve I ordered was for my wife. Im sure that will arrive before my Maverick. As a backup I ordered a 2023 GT for myself. Which ever comes in first I’ll take it. My dealer may want to pay me not to take Maverick Hybrid. Some dealers have offered customer thousands not to take their Maverick Hybrid. Some areas of the country, Hybrid Mavericks are selling for 10K over MSRP.

It’s a crazy time to custom order anything right now.

The maverick is nice. When it first came out there was one on the showroom floor. At sticker price. I wanted to buy it for X but she didn’t want pickup truck. After that you couldn’t get your hands on them. It was three impossible to get. Ranger, Maverick and Bronco. Since then Bronco and Ranger are available.
