Does this sound normal for a 2021 Lincoln Aviator? Am I missing an engine cover?

Test drove it yesterday. 16,000 miles on the dash. Drove like a dream. Told the dealer I’d be back tomorrow to purchase. Is this noise familiar to any other Aviator owners? Thanks in advance.

You might want to correct your title to an Aviator. Also, this does sound normal.. and you do not seem to be missing any covers from what I can tell.. The noise is loud in the start and when you zoom in like that it sounds pretty ok for the ticking.
Whatever happens, you are covered by warranty since its a 2021 with only 16k miles.

Welcome to the Forum. 👋
There are no engine covers. I've attached a picture of my 2020 Aviator. I also believe the engine sound is normal. I can hear the "ticking" when mine is idling but haven't actually had the hood open when it's running.

Thank you!

And just like with my other post, this was a manufacturer buyback vehicle. I didn’t know what that meant until now. I posted this in the first place bc I was suspicious of price.
