2023 Corsair orders, build dates

I just did a check with about 10 lincoln dealerships in central texas. most had a handful of 2022 corsairs, but only one had any 2023 corsairs. and that one had significant inventory....like 8 standard models and another 8 reserves.

I checked the New England area. All the 2023 Corsairs I found were "Dealer Ordered" and tagged with an S13 code and the following explanation of what S13 means:

"For Dealer Ordered vehicles, the vehicle has already been ordered by the dealer and is in the process of being manufactured by the factory. If you are interested in the vehicle marked “Dealer Ordered”, contact the dealership for a delivery estimate."

Are you certain the 8 Standard models and 8 Reserve models you found are actually on that dealership's lot?

some are. others just note the dealership...but there is a confirm availability button as well. the ones that say dealer ordered tend to not have pics while the others do.

I sincerely doubt they have them in stock. They only have a Lincoln promo pic for each while there are multiple on-site pics for their other vehicles. Just sayin'.

Dealer in Staten Island is one of the biggest Lincoln dealers around if not the biggest. They had over 200 2022 corsairs now they’re down to I think a little over a hundred. 116 I just checked. They have ONE 2023 Corsair listed and it’s a standard and it says in transit. So if they don’t have them no one does unless they didn’t order 2023 to rid their 2022’s

I would not walk into that dealership. I bought my Corsair from them and there were a lot of underhanded tactics used in the sale. In the end, I had to get Lincoln corporate involved, got a sizeable refund from the dealership, and an apology from the manager. Looking at a few Google reviews, they still haven't learned their lesson. Buyer beware.

I remember when you were dealing with this. IIRC, it took a lot of effort on you part to get it resolved, but it should not have.

Thanks for the link. I looked at each of the four 2023 Corsairs at that dealership and attempted to display the window sticker for each of them. Every time, here's the result:

"Sorry, we couldn't find your window sticker..."

I agree with Sharbotcom: These 2023 Corsairs are likely not on the dealer's lot and probably haven't been built yet.

Has anyone actually seen a 2023 Corsair at any dealership in North America? I don't think they exist.

We know there are not any labor issues currently affecting production (at least none that have been made public) so there is definitely something else that has caused production to be derailed. Most likely the supply of a key component(s?) that Lincoln is not willing to (or can't) sacrifice OR they have run into an integration issue with the new configuration that they haven't been able to satisfactorily address. In any case, I would imagine once the issue has been addressed it will be like the proverbial toilet flush and 23s will be flowing out of the assembly buildings. Someone please call in the plumber!

If you know how to deal with them you can get a great deal. It’s their service department that’s the pits. I’m glad to see another person knows how bad they are. They have kids for salesman. I used to deal with one sales manager directly. Juan. He was there for a lot of years then left. I bought ten cars from them. The eleventh they screwed me and an ex fiancé. The used car guy mike was giving me three grand off a certified used MKZ for my ex. That’s unheard of. They owed me because of the trouble I had with my MKZ and I was a long time customer. The other sales manager Steve sold the car out from under me and her to a friend or relative because he knew you don’t get money off a certified used. I went in and exploded in the dealership punched a few walls made a scene. Needless to say I won’t go in there ever again and if I do I’d probably get locked up. Dana Lincoln is def the pits and I’ve posted multiple bad reviews for them as well as told Lincoln their dealership should be yanked! But yet because they are so big and have more cars than anyone they still manage to be a top dealership in terms of sales. Again because if you know how to deal with them no one can beat their prices. The father and sons that own it are real pieces of work. Typical Staten Islanders. They think they’re Sopranos lol. I stumbled upon Irwin Lincoln in Freehold NJ and haven’t looked back. Super friendly, a little higher in price because they’re smaller but their service department is hands down the best. They have the top mechanics and for me to say that means a lot. I’ve been fixing cars since I was ten I’m 60 now and was a tank mechanic in the Marines. So if I’m recommending a service department or dealership take what I say to heart. Dana has sold so many Corsairs (mainly leased no one on Staten Island buys but I did) that every other car you see is a Corsair that says Dana on the back. The worst is I got pristine white……so did everyone else lol.

Glad to meet someone else who understands.

I don't care how many cars they have sold. They will rip you off at a moment's notice. They put me through the wringer. I had to get corporate involved by the time it was all over. I had to get an apology from the dealership on top of that. And, a lesson not learned. Reading Google reviews, it's apparent they are still taking advantage of buyers using dubious tactics when they feel they can act like the Sopranos of car dealers.

And you are right. Lincoln won't do anything about it because of how many cars they sell. They are "untouchable."

Yes but what we can do is what I did and others. I posted bad reviews. They couldn’t take it. I walked in and Jesse the owners son said you get out. They can screw you but if you give them a bad review the won’t let you back in or service your car. They were not even willing to talk it out. All I can say is to anyone who comes here…..steer far away from Dana Lincoln on Staten Island and go to another dealer. It may be a little inconvenient to travel but you’ll have peace of mind !

latest update:
2023 corsair reserve with option group 2
ordered 10/29/22
was originally scheduled week of 2/20/23, now rescheduled to week of 3/14/23

Today marks the 5 month anniversary of the order on my wife’s Corsair. Have not received another delay email but I expect to get one this week. Tracker shows build date to start week of 2/24/23 which is a Friday, don’t think that is going to happen. I did a search for 2023 Ford Escape since they are built at same plant and could not find any. I which they would at least let us know what the hold up is. Anyway patiently waiting, I know it will be a great vehicle

Just took a look at the Lincoln Vehicle tracker. Vehicle was moved from first week of March back to Feb 27th Hopefullt this bodes well.

No email, just went to previous email and typed in info.

Dang.....doesn't sound great
Not great for those who have been waiting a long time for their vehicles, but perhaps this "pause" will allow them to provide less trouble prone examples? I commend Ford for not just shipping them out and letting the dealers try to figure out the issues later.

Don't get me wrong, I am not a Ford flag waver. I have had good luck with the Escapes we had (2014 and 2015) and so far with our two Corsairs, but the Escapes had less trips to the dealer while we owned them, even over a longer period of time, and many more miles. Granted, they were far less sophisticated vehicles.

True, I'll gladly wait longer if quality is job #1. Just anxious waiting as my '22 GT took 11 months and I cancelled accepting it. Put a '23 on order in Sept. This time I won't wait another 11 months; 6 months will probably be my max and then I'll have to start looking elsewhere (different manufacturer).
