Sync 3 update?

As it turns out the LincolnWay app just might have done what it is supposed to do for the first time. This just popped up on my phone. My wife is currently driving the car so I will check the corsair when she gets home:

I recently received an email from Lincoln saying I had a Synch three update, in 11/2022. I have a 2020 Lincoln navigator black label L. I’m seeing here that people have gotten a sink three update more than a year before I got notice. I just finished the update and it says I am at software version 3.4. I’ve looked online and see that there is a synch version 4. Does anyone know the truth? What is the current version, and what are the improvements that come with the current version because I can’t find anywhere on Lincoln’s website what they are. Thanks.

The current version is sync 3.4 build 22200. Current map version is 2 21

Yes. I rcvd email early 2022 Dec, sent for stick. New Sync 3 map has been updated with mo problems.

Bet the map update took almost an hour. If it didn’t that wasn’t the map update

What???

You sent away for the stick. Was it the sync update or the map update ? Usually you need two files. One is a sync update and one is the map update. I never sent away for the stick I always downloaded the files and made my own sticks. Sync update takes like ten or 15 minutes. Map updates take like an hour

Sync3 update was ordered fom syncnavagation. Update took 45 mins.

Hi gang. Just to avoid confusion: SYNC 3 updates can take various amounts of time, according to what is contained in the update. I have had most SYNC updates take ~1 hour. While one or two have only taken 10-15 minutes.

SYNC 3 NAV system updates are usually rather lenghty. In the 45-60 minute range. But they are only once a year anyway.

I agree. Also map updates are paid for after a certain amount of time. Forget how long they are free for

Thank you for straight forward post. This is my 2nd update. Both took 45 - 60 minutes.

So I just took my 2022 Corsair Reserve for its first maintenance visit. I asked the Service Rep to have the Nav system maps updated, as so many people were experiencing problems when doing it via USB. Picked it up yesterday and was advised that their tech people couldn't do it as their wi-fi is slow, and that they don't recommend doing it with USB as some modules have been "fried" by doing so! I told them other Corsair owner's have had their's done by dealership ... oh well, not really a big problem for me as I normally use Apple Maps or Waze for navigation.

For what it's worth the two loaners they have provided were a Nautilus and an Aviator ... I wouldn't swap my Corsair for either one. I've had a King Ranch Expedition and a Platinum Explorer, and love this Corsair so much more than either of those.
