Remote not working

The remote does not lock unlock the car. I checked the remote at an autozone and it transmits signal. I can start the car and lock unlock it via the keypad. What can the reason be?

Replace the battery with a known fresh one!
It may transmit a signal, but be too weak to unlock, etc.
Batteries are cheap & only last for a year or 2 at the most!

Hi nsrdn. In addition to SGilbert's good advice: If you have your second remote, does that one work properly? Also, if you do not have a second remote, you should purchase one and have it properly programmed.
