Super decontaminate wash with BIlt Hamber touchless foam wash, followed by some Gyeon Irox remover, pressure washed and followed with a two step chemical guys clean slate wash and blow dry.

Followed with a two step Koch Chemie polish and finished with a cleaning of the panels with Carpro Eraser.

Following morning i applied one coat of the Kamikaze ISM coat 3.0 to all the painted areas and chrome. (left off the black trim for ppf).

Interior leather was coated with the Kamikaze Leather coat.

All four wheels were removed, and rims cleaned inside and out and coated with Kamikaze Rim Stance.

Exterior of the windshield got a glassperancy coating.

Dropped off the car at the tint shop where they tinted all the glass with nano ceramic as well as a 50% on the windshied. Clear PPF was applied to all gloss black trim on the pillars, mirror caps, bottom of door panels and rear bumper. Rear tailights and orange side markers were smoked out with a tinted PPF

Very nice! A few questions:

* How much decon did you see when you used the IronX?
* Which polisher & pads did you use?
* What did the PPF run you?

So far on my X5 (close to 1 year in) I've been doing rinseless wash technique (garry dean method) and my black plastic trim has held up pretty well - you can definitely see micromarring under an inspection but no obvious swirls or similar problems from a few feet away.

I was surprised by the amount of purple i got out of the iron after the wash. ive been letting it set a bit longer the last couple times and seems like its benificial.

i used the Torque polisher and i used the corresponding pads from koch chemie. Id like to find a different polisher. maybe a cordless. but the speed control is right where your palm goes, so it can accidently get sped up or slowed down easily

in total we had $2k into the tint all around and windshield, radar install and the ppf.

Looks cool. What is the reasoning behind doing all this? Especially on the wheels and tint. Didn't your car come with a tint?

just a bit ADD when it comes to keeping the cars clean and pristine. when i wash the wheels i want the barrel looking as clean as the face of the rims as well, hate seeing the build up of brake dust with a clean wheel face. so the coating really makes the cleaning so much easier. most will come off with just the pressure wash.

the tint evened out all the windows front to back to look uniform, and this was a nano ceramic tint to where it rejects most of the heat gain.

Does the tint help prevent heat in in the car and keep the car cooler? Also, how much did it cost?

Factory Tint does nothing to stop the UV and heat. Ceramic reflects much of the heat and keeps the car cooler. You can even feel it on your arm driving, before tint sun will make the arm warm, with the ceramic tint on the window it is much cooler. It isn't cheap, but it works. Prices vary, but about 800 to 1,000 for the whole car, 400 to 600 for windshield and front windows.

The nano ceramic blocks a ton of the heat gain. I paid a little over $800 for the whole car including the windshield. Certainly more than standard tint but makes a big difference
