In my 2020 Navigator, pressing the forward facing camera button would "fix" this. Haven't had it happen in my 2022 as of yet.

But we shouldn't have to any of those things. After all our money that we paid for the aviator not one dollar broke. LOLNice find! Thank you for sharing. This worked for me too.
I have found that after switching to reverse, it will also “cure” the problem, as well as hitting the camera button to display the backup/top down cam on screen works as well.
Small sample size here. Yes, there are problems. But find me a vehicle that doesn't have any? The Aviator isn't perfect, but it is nice. This is a personal opinion of mine not shared by many who go all out here to let us know! You guys have me worried now. Been having way to many issues with my 2021 F150 and recently ordered a 23 Aviator for the wife, knowing it still has sync3, which was actually a big plus compared to the sync 4 issues in my truck. Sure do hope it's as good of a vehicle as the 2017 Explorer we're trading in.
wifes 2017 explorer Plat has been a totally problem free vehicle. Best of the 27 ford/lincolns I've had. Also had VW's that were problem free just like all should be.Small sample size here. I have a 2022 aviator, 5 months old, my son has a 2019 and he just reordered a new one. Yes we have a few problems all are minor. I had 4 Range Rover sports and they had a few problems. I also had Navigators had some problems. It is very rare that you get a new car with all the features and systems we have something may go wrong, but once you break it in should be ok. All my cars after a few months getting any bug, (all minor) they ran for the length of the lease no problems. Your wife will like the way it rides and it is a very nice car. Good luckYou guys have me worried now. You should have the dealer note this issue on the 'Work Order' the next time you visit. That way there will be a record of the problem in the system. If owners don't report it, then as far as Ford is concerned, there is no issue. This has been going on for over a year now with no resolution from the manufacturer. I still have it occasionally and have tried the 'fixes' that have been posted with minimal success. My 2022 Reserve II similarly does not always correctly switch the center screen to light or dark mode (in auto). I found that moving the lever controlling dash brightness causes the illumination on the center screen to ”wake up” and go to the correct mode..? I have not addressed it with the dealership. Hoping there is a software update soon.
The odd time it happened to me I found that there doesn't seem to be a fixed resolution to the issue. I've tried the gear change, turning the vehicle off/on etc. I think the software department may be focusing on the new Google Android system which will start to replace Microsoft's Sync in 2023.So Lincoln now has no plans to rollout the fix.
"Per the FSE, no ETA for correction, and will not likely happen this year. As mentioned before, the concern appears to resolve when shifting from park to reverse or from drive to reverse. We recall that you have a process of reversing into his garage. If you were to drive in nose first and back out of his garage, this may temporarily resolve this"
my response. Does Lincoln find this acceptable, that to fix a screen issue you must be in the correct gear sequence? Rather then rolling out a software fix to address this.

I don't blame you. You're luck to have the lemmon law down there. No such thing up here in Canada. My 2021 Aviator has developed a bunch of new electrical gremlins. It was brought in for several, and they're being addressed tomorrow as the parts came in. Unfortunately, since they ordered the parts, the passenger side window gets stuck going up, and the passenger side dome light comes on for no apparent reason, and you have to turn it on and off several times to get it to stay off. Sadly, I've decided enough is enough, so I will be parting with it. I've contacted a lemon law attorney and started the process to get rid of it.

I can relate. FYI— I don’t know what state you live in, but in Ohio, the lemon law doesn’t need you contacting a lawyer for arbitration. I filled out an Ohio Better Business Bureau online document one night, filling in the my repair history. It resulted in a Lincoln buyback rep contacting me the few days later regarding my 2020 Aviator with 5000 miles. A cumulative 80+ shop days did it. The Ohio BBB limit was much lower than that, I don’t recall exactly, but closer to 30.My 2021 Aviator has developed a bunch of new electrical gremlins. Not actually so, we have the dubious distinction of having CAMVAP, Canadian Automobile Manufacturers Vehicle Arbitration Plan..........................................No such thing up here in Canada.
Yes, we do have CAMVAP, but from what I've read it's practically useless and of little help to most. Long cry from the lemmon law in the USANot actually so, we have the dubious distinction of having CAMVAP, Canadian Automobile Manufacturers Vehicle Arbitration Plan.
